Horrible condition! Pace of play was good because nobody was playing... they knew to play elsewhere. Played with friends so a good time was had by all in spite of the course condition. We don’t waste time complaining so we made lemonade from lemons.
Decent course
Booked night before carts great shape greens terrible fairways decent lots of wood scrap piles cleared brush etc
Greens are unplayable
Booked through golf now so had no idea greens were basically unplayable. Tried to get a rain check from the pro shop but was told I wasn’t allowed one since we booked through golf now and not the golf course. Was told if I called them direct they would have told me about them.... yet I talked to the same person before the round and course condition never came up. There was more sand then green on every hole. Absolutely ridiculous. I don’t know why I didn’t take pictures. But now I realize why nobody was there to play because the course is garbage. Overgrown unkept tee boxes and just overall horrible. Played here 5yrs ago and it was amazing. Super sad too see such decline in condition. 10/10 would not recommend
Greens are horrible
Whoever let all the greens get into that bad of shape should be fired. The greens are the worst I have ever seen anywhere.
Nice layout.
Course is nice with some very cool holes. Condition of the course other than the greens is satisfactory if not good. The greens were poor. Bar keep explained they had a desease, and they've not returned after efforts to bring them back. If you're able to overlook green condition, you'll likely enjoy the course. If pristine putting conditions are mandatory, I advise choosing another option.
Greens
Love the layout tee boxes and the fairways were great! The greens are really sad would loved to see them back to the shape they were in 2 yrs ago.
Horrible Putting Greens & Course
First time played this course - would NEVER play this course again - the putting greens were not green grass - they were dirt with weeds growing through the dirt. The fairways had lots of weeds & teeboxes lacked grass.. A number of traps were dirt traps with water collected in them. Heard that the Greenskeeper walked off the job in the last year.
PLEASE CLOSE COURSE
THIS COURSE SHOULD BE CLOSED UNTIL THE GREENS ARE IMPROVED TO PLAYABLE STATUS. I HAVE PLAYED THIS COURSE FOR 12 YEARS AND THIS IS THE WORSE SHAPE I HAVE EVER SEEN. HOW CAN THEY CHARGE TO PLAY ON A COURSE LIKE THIS. GREENS ARE TOTALLY UNPLAYABLE. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MPNEY OR TIME ON THIS COURSE
I’ve played this golf course many time before and for the last couple of years it has gotten progressively worse. Today was the worst I have seen it. The fairways weren’t too bad but the greens were awful. The ball rather than roll would bounce. Impossible to hit a putt with any direction. Not a single blade of grass on the greens. Too bad because a few years ago this was a very nice course.
The greens are in terrible shape. The worst greens I've ever played on.
TERRIBLE GREENS
I've played this course several times over the past two years. Today was the first time in about a year. These greens are the worst greens I've ever seen anywhere. I don't think the course can save these without shutting down for a few months. It's a shame because the rest of the course and staff are wonderful. Wonderful challenging layout. Fairways and tee boxes are in great shape. Very disappointed. I could probably understand if we were given a 'heads up' but...no, nothing.
Sad
After having played this course a number of times earlier, this was my first time this year, and I'm still in shock. The greens are in such a bad shape that the course should not be allowed to take any one's money. And this used to be a course that was known for having some of the best greens in the area.?? The rest of the course: Fairways was not cut the last couple of days, all the bunkers was without sand, not groomed or raked in days- or weeks..
SORRY, Pine Lakes, but I will not be coming back, nor will my party.
To end on a positive note: We enjoyed the pace of play! (nobody there...)
Pine Lakes
This is an older course but a very nice layout. There had been a lot of rain the night before we played so there was some standing water but Florida this time of year this is understandable. What we were not aware of when we booked the tee time was the greens are in horrible condition. The gentleman in the pro shot advised that the greens caught some kind of fungus and they were all in really poor condition. One should have this information prior to booking the tee time. The Point Lakes staff have a lot to do to get the course in average condition because of the greens. I hope they fix it up because it is a very nice layout.
Jcc
Greens are in terrible condition. No heads up from the staff.
Wow
The worst course I’ve played in the last 15 years! Fairways are in rough shape, and no grass on the greens!
