Flamingo Lakes Country Club in Pembroke Pines is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The layout is challenging but it is also very forgiving, making it accessible for players of any skill level. The course differs from other golf courses in the area due to its hilly terrain. Elevation changes are not common occurrences on Florida golf courses but you'll find several tricky uneven lies on this one. It also stands out for its superb conditions. Water hazards come into play on almost every hole, presenting some interesting risk-reward opportunities. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking throughout. The layout requires thought and strategy in order to score well. Flamingo Lakes isn't long, instead it provides a quick and challenging round that can be played in less than four hours.

I played this course once or twice a week since the pandemic began in 2020. I like the course and they keep it in good shape but the pro shop check in attendants are far from amicable and the manager is probably one of the rudest individuals I ever met. I had a bad experience with them about 6 months ago and another yesterday. I will not book another tee time with them in the future.
Incidentally, I have been a happy member of golfnow.com for at least 10 years an this is my only complaint about a venue.
Course condition
Course in ok condition some wet areas. Some holes were roped off due to wet condition
played front 9 twice the i hear the 31st they open back 9 the fairways,tee boxes and all greens on the front are in great shape
Decent course
Fun, fast greens would’ve gotten 4 stars if the back nine were open, we had to play the front nine twice for 18
Challenging venue
The course is in good condition. We played the front nine twice because new greens were being constructed on the back nine. Water is in play on many holes and overly aggressive play will result in landing in the hazard. It's a very enjoyable course for the wise golfer.
Quick round
Flamingo Lakes is a well maintained interesting gold course. The greens are ok, not great, the layout is interesting. A bit narrow for some. The back nine has three par threes with two of them over water. All in all it's a pretty course and I always enjoy playing there. Sadly there is no bar although there is a small restaurant. The back nine was closed when I played so I played the front nine with two balls. Fastest 18 of my life!
Front desk
Checked in. About 15 minutes after golf now tee time. Off season in Florida course empty. The course superintendent looks at the clock. Questions me ( hello). Really!! Play all year round and I am a Florida resident. He should be thanking me for playing. Any way. Come on man!!! Also charged me for a rider fee. 15 dollars for my 2 year Grandson. Also only 9 holes available. The others under repair. Come on Guy’s. Get it together. Otherwise change occupations. If your not happy!
