Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Average
Not a bad place. A few goofy holes but overall pretty enjoyable. I’m used to greens that are a little faster than here. I’m thinking the humidity may make the greens stickier than usual. Like putting on Velcro. I just played Hidden Creek in Navarre and the greens there were perfect. Folks in the clubhouse were very nice and accommodating.
SUPER SLOW PACE
Got there 45mins early... wanted to play solo and I got to... tee off about 25 mins before my scheduled time since they were not busy... took me 2holes to catch a group of 5... got stuck behind them until 12(yes, HOLE 12). I was even sitting in line with them at several boxes but the wouldn’t let me through. Once I did, took 2 holes to catch another group of 5 playing even slower. Course was good. Greens were slow but good. Would recommend only if the beer cart I climb around - helped keep me calm.
This course is an awesome course for the money
Love d every hole very challenging narrow fairways.
Greens were in perfect shape except for duvet marks left on greens from previous players !
Can’t wait to play again
Awesome course
The pin placements were very difficult and the greens were fast. Had a great time!
Nice but loud
There were several groups of golfers playing music from their carts. Would not have been an issue if there was one single employee (Marshall) on the course. Love the layout, but wow, never had a round with so much noise.
Enjoyable course
First time playing the course. Good tee boxes, generous fairways, not much water, bunkers not consistent. greens very good with lots of breaks. Overall a good experience.
Great golf day
Went with a buddy for the first time to Marcus point Course was in great shape Not too crowded had a nice leisurely round and shot a 94. Great day overall. Best course I’ve played in the Pensacola
Review of Marcus Point G C
We enjoyed our golf at Marcus Point G C. The fairways were dry and had bare spots and not too much grass.
Great course for the money
Some Slow players but overall very happy with the golf course. Only other problem was a few bare spots in the fairway. Happy hour was amazing great draft beer for a buck .25.
Great course
Tee boxes were lush. Fairways were very nice. Sand traps were clean and dry. Greens were good for just coming out of winter and i think they'd be great onece summer hits. The course is a bit straight and none of the holes have water hazards. I wish it was layed out and designed a bit more artistically, but it's very well maintained. The staff was excellent and the other golfers were pleasant.
Wonderful day
My three great friends and I had a fun round - the second here for most of us - and it was great. The course is in pretty good shape for early spring - greens need a little work, with a very few weeds adding challenge. It was very windy this round - but we're average - 70 year old golfers - and the wind didn't really effect us much. We really like this course and would recommend it to anyone.
A good plsce to golf
It is the kind of golf that we play at home
The greens of a bit tricky but it add to the challenge.
I recommend it.
Excellent outing
Thouroughly enjoyed my outing. The weather was great. The staff was helpful. Other players were courteous. The course was under maintenance in some areas, but it did not interfere with play and I look forward to visiting again.
Rolling terrain
First visit to panhandle area courses, and first "inland" non-coastal course. Fast rue greens. White tees played and found course challenging but not punishing. You could recover from errant shots. Tree lined fairways and less windy than coastal courses, Enjoyed playing and definitely will play on future visits to this area. Nice to play rolling terrain course in this area. Grass just starting to green up, Bunkers nice with fine granular white sand.
Needs second chance
Course had a lot of work going on, which was needed. Would like to go back someday when greens and fairways are in better shape, they were addressing these issues while we were there.
