Greens are mostly crowned and challenging

A brutal experience and probably the worst in the 30 years I've been playing this game! 3 hours to play 9 holes - then we left. The course and clubhouse date back to the 50's when Fonzi and Richie were best buddies! Don't know where anyone can rate this track above a 3 star (get with the program people)! If you're considering playing this track then dress down (jeans, cutoffs, t-shirts, etc.) and bring out your dated clubs and balls, as there is absolutely nothing even remotely interesting about this track for any kind of semi-serious or serious golfer! Sorry we even went!

Golf in South Florida this time of the year is not cheap so when you can get a golf now rate of 26 bucks at a course of this quality, jump all over it. Better than many area courses that you will pay much more for.

I've booked here twice during this winter season. Pace of play was horrible. Almost 3 hours to play 9 holes gave up on playing the other nine. Tried a second time to play this week. Course was so busy and overbooked. No carts available. More than 7 groups waiting for carts. I gave up and decided not to play. I will not book again at this course in the winter season. I have played here many times in the summer and fall and have always been happy with the course.

difficult greens on a beautiful condition course;
greens are fast but accurate. Greens are elevated and you have to land your approach perfectly on the greens. Hitting a few yards short and your ball will not
roll onto green. Very enjoyable round and course. a hidden jewel that i just found.

Great course to lower your handicap and raise your confidence. Wide fairways make it great for long hitters. Good sand bunkers. Pretty hard to lose a ball. The big equalizers are the the fast greens that can rattle your putting confidence.

Round was a good deal for a he money. Forgiving course. Lost only one ball and it was just off the fairway.

Pretty good course. Enjoyed my round. Only down side was that they had just sanded all the greens pretty heavily and the range was closed so no ability to warm up.

Very friendly staff upbeat helpful. The course is in great condition the greens are perfect roll true but challenging to read .the crew members pride in their work is apparent on every hole ..This is a jewel hiding in port Charlotte. Come try it out .you wont be disappointed.

I like the course, there are some challenging holes and some forgiving holes. I played end of August so the greens had been plugged recently and sanded. That made the putting a bit tough. Overall, for the money, good value.

Excellent staff. 3:15 round on a beautiful manicured course. Highly recommend

nice day of golf course was in good shape nice fairways greens were nice on the fast side but I like them that way

Staff very friendly had to cut round short due to lightening. Got rain checks for the second nine. Course was beautiful and is wide open. Greens are good.

My Wife & I are not good golfers but like to play at least once a week. We enjoyed playing PSGC as the grounds and greens are in much better condition than many of the other clubs around.

I believe your course is fun to play for young and old alike. It's not overly difficult and but a really
really enjoyable round of golf..

I really enjoyed my round at Port Charlotte though I was given only 2 hours to play it because a golf league had blocked out the course starting at 5:15 - for the inconvenience, I was charged only the 9=-hole rate of $15 - I ended up completing the entire 18 despite a golfer right ahead of me - the course is in great shape though the greens have recently been aereated and were bumpy in a few places... I played the tips and shot 82 (43-39); the girl in the pro shop was nice; the barteneder who got me a few beers for the course was courteous and efficient; I would definitely recommend this course; a good test of golf with that old southern course feel

Very nice, well maintains course. Friendly staff and excellent pro staff.

I wish I would have been warned that the Greens had just been Aerated & Top Dressed. Very difficult putting. Otherwise a nice course. More challenging from the far back tees.
