Blue Heron
Par 3 course
Tee box OK
Fairways rough
Greens in good shape
This is an excellent course for a duffer. There are sufficient hazards, water and bunkers to test one skills. The staff are excellent and the carts are in good working order and there is good signage. I have recommend this course to everyone.
Good time golf
Very nice course. Easy play. Grounds well kept. Some construction going on but did not inpead our play. Big surprise on 17th hole, see pic.
Good for short game
The course is under some construction; but it did not impede on our play. Staff is very friendly and pace of play was great. Part of the back 9 is along I - 75; so a few holes are a little loud.
Narrow fairways and water increase the course's challenge. Fairways not in great condition; I think because of the construction. Front 9 was in better condition and the course runs between homes.
Few gators in the ponds so don't search for water balls.
This course is short but definately shores up your short game.
The customer service was very nice, the course was easy to follow and had some interesting holes. One had to think about which club to use and how hard to swing.
Had great fun.
Excellent little course!
This course although short, was extremely fun and a little challenging. Definitely one we'll play more often! The staff were really friendly and informative about the course layout. The "19th Hole" has excellent food and offered a wide variety of drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
Enjoyable round of golf
For the special rate of $10 for 18 holes including cart, it was a great deal!
Fun Course
Blue Heron Pines golf club is a fun little course. Most of the holes are very small, mostly par 3's. First 9 holes are in a very nice, beautiful neighborhood. Very fun driving around in the cart. The next 9 holes are very interesting. Most of it is right next to the highway/streets. Very loud! Can be dangerous if you're not an avid golfer, balls can go on highway and hit cars. The driving range is very cool, you hit balls into the giant lake, great scenery. Pro shop is nice inside. Golf carts are great and very fast. Overall a nice course. I paid $10 for 18 holes with a cart at 1pm, not bad at all if you ask me.
Construction
I was not informed at the time of purchasing a tee time that the course was under construction with 9 holes having temporary greens and a new drainage system being put in. When completed, it will be a fun little course.
Poor
Course had temp.green about 6 to 8 feet in dim.with no grass mostly mud should be closed until greens are reopened.
Stay Away!
The moment you get out of the car, the mosquito’s attack you. The course is under construction. Staff will tell you to play the front 9 twice, however, the first hole is horrible. So, I will strongly suggest that you do not waste your time or money.
UNFER CONSTRUCTION
WE WERE NOT NOTIFIED THIS COURSE WAS UNDER COSTRUCTION WITH TEMPORARY GREENS, DUG UP DIRT AND NOT VERY GOOD FAIRWAYS. IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR TO GIVE IT A ZERO RATING AS IT MAY BE BETTER WHEN THE UPDATING IS COMPLETE. HOWEVER, TOO MANY PAR 3 HOLES FOR MY LIKING.
Fair
My wife and I played for 25$ total for 18 holes and a cart. Pros- we like the course when it's up to par. Short holes and nice layout. Cons- course could use some grooming. They are replacing all the greens. So your putter never came into play. 12.50 a person wasn't to bad, but need to be forthcoming about the grrens
blue heron pines
front 9 is a little rough on the fairways and green were patchy. back 9 is in much better condition , but still has to mature.
Get what you pay for
Gets you out to play. Bring your water balls
save your money
For $5.00 more you can play a nicer course, splurge the $5.00. You will know on the first hole what the course will be like. The fairways have little grass and mostly tufts of weeds. The tee boxes are in better shape than the greens, the good things, the carts were nice running, hole number 11 is fun because you need to hit over or under a billboard along the interstate and hole 12/13 has a nice 6-8 foot alligator that is sunning himself. In general, find somewhere else to spend your afternoon. The reason for the excellent on pace of play is because no one else was there. We had out of town guests that we took there and we are embarrassed that we went there.
Verry for price
Verry good price nice golf merci
