Summerfield Crossings Golf Club
About
Summerfield Crossings Golf Club is a fun Scottish links style championship golf course designed by Ronald Garl. There are many moguls and palm trees that come into play throughout the course. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has wide, gently rolling fairways, but do not underestimate the challenge. You must keep the ball on target thanks to pot bunkers, waste areas and small, undulating greens. The signature hole is No. 6, a 171-yard, par 3 that calls for a carry over water to a small peninsula green. Summerfield Crossings Golf Club has a wide, gently rolling fairways.

Very slow place of play
There were a lot of elderly foursomes that played very slow with no regard for who might be behind them that should be allowed to play through.
That being said there was no reason for them to let us play through because there was a slow foursome on every hole.
Summerfield Crossing
Great value for money on a well maintained course with excellent staff
Terrible Pace of Play
Friendly staff and a nice driving range. That's about all I can say that's positive. Tee time was at 3:07, teed off at 3:10. There is no real starter, which is probably where the problem starts. It was 3:55 when I reached the third tee box, so on pace for an almost 7 hour round. There were four groups in front of mine, a group on the tee box, a group in the fairway, and a group on the green. That's 8 groups on hole 3! At this point I decided to turn around and ask for a refund. They gave me course credit, which is poor considering I paid for 18 holes and would have been lucky to play 6 before sundown. I grabbed some golf balls and left. Will not be returning.
Play early
Playing early should get you finished in 4 1/2 hours. Any thing after 12 will be 5+ hours.
Opt to go early if you can.
Pace of play way too slow. Took us over 4 1/4 hours to play 18. Was not happy when starter said 2 gentlemen will play in front of us so they do not push us. As it turned out we were pushing them as we stopped after every shot. Course was in great shape.
Loved it!
Exceptional value for the price, highly recommend this course…
Decent Course BUT…
The course is decent, greens are bumpy and fast with a bunch of weeds growing in here and there. Honestly our poor experience is based off the staff, there is one particular person that seems to “run the pro shop, he’s always behind the counter, he’s constantly so rude and disrespectful to all customers. He is VERY passive aggressive and it’s “his way or his way” . I’ve personally watched him talk down to his staff and customers on multiple occasions. We are PDP members and will be keeping Cypress Creek our home course, and drastically cutting back here because of this person. It’s amazing how the owner would let somebody like this be the face of the course, and everybody knows this person. It’s no secret.
I PLAYED with 2 friends.First time playing and GPS on golf carts made it good for water holes.Greens were fast and hard to stop downhill putts.Front 9 was slow,2 1/2 hours due to slow group in front of us.Played back 9 in 1 3/4 hours.Would recommend playing and will play again.
