Hampton Golf Village

I was really looking forward to playing this course again because when I played last summer it was in great shape but today the fairways and greens were aerated which was not noted when booking and the price was still the same.

With that said the staff was friendly and the burgers are awesome!

Will wait until summer to try again.

Fairways recently punched. Hardly any grass, mostly dirt and rocks in the fairway. Generally this is one of my go to places to play but not in these conditions.

Also the course was backed up and playing close to five hours.

Recently aerated, greens r bouncy, fairways r thin, bumpy & dry, but cost reflects that

fairways and greens have been recently aerated. so the greens weren't close to how they will normally be. But hopefully the maintenance will prove invaluable in future rounds

Had great weather, course in good condition for the time of the year, hit some really bad shots, but a great time was had.

Lots to like about Hampton. Unfortunately, there’s a few things to dislike too.

Pros:

- Affordable

- Nice course layout

- Challenging

- Some of the cart girls are hot

Cons:

- Pace of play: groups too crammed together. Holes 4 and 5 end up with 3 and sometimes 4 groups on it or waiting. Marshall’s are non-existent.

- Tee Boxes: in particular, holes 2, 4, 7, 8 are horrible.

Overall, it’s a 3 out of 5 star course. Could be a 4 star with a few improvements.

Over a great day. The course was a bit damp and cart path only. But the 1 disappointment was the starter who instead should be on or near the first tee is sitting g in his cart at the range talking. But yet mad at me for missing him and driving past him. How about parking up near the tee as a starter should?

First time playing there. Was pleasantly surprised. Some challenging holes but overall a fun course.
