Chestatee Golf Club

I had at least 6 conversations with the GM dating back over 6 months prior to the planned golf outing. There was only one date that was ever discussed and I referenced the date every time we spoke on the phone. Six times there was nothing but confirmation regarding our plans Then two weeks prior to the only date we ever discussed, I received a phone call asking where we we. I'm at a loss trying to understand how my stating the one and only golf outing date six times to the same one person led to a different date on the calendar. Attention to detail and listening were absolute failures. I do not recommend planning a group outing at Chestatee.

Average course. Rates are ridiculous. It’s worth maybe 40 bucks for 18. Bethpage Black course in NY is less expensive. Don’t waste your money.

Course getting ready to shut down for refurbishing. Looking forward to the reopening, as it is getting rough with greens almost bare. Layout first rate, so when it is brought back it will be one of the better courses in the area, no doubt.

First time playing here. Played w/ my 16 yr old daughter. Got paired up with a nice couple of gentlemen and day started fine. Then was checked on at least 8 times by rangers about pace of play. Since we were waiting on every tee and in every fairway on the group ahead not sure why they decided to continue to question us. Went so far as to come up to us on our approach shot into 18. Will not play here again because of the harrassment.

Only exception was the unexpected, shortened menu when we went to grab a bite after the round.

No starter. No ranger. Unacceptable pace of play, and lack luster clubhouse. Beautiful course, well maintained, staff were nice as could be. Greens need some attention, but otherwise well maintained and challenging/fun.

A friend and I paid above average green fees, nd drove almost two hours, were paired (on our own volition) two nice folks, but had singles and doubles in front and behind us all day. One gentleman ahead of us played two balls with a backed up coarse behind him…no management on site to help with pace of play.

Chestatee was one of the more challenging courses I have played due mostly to its up and down terrain. Very scenic with many uphill and downhill shots. Well worth a trip!

First, clubhouse staff (Josh) was very helpful. We had a mix up with our tee time and he worked it out for us. Course was generally in decent shape for March. Hadn't fully greened up yet. A tad wet, but understandable based on previous days of rain, but not soggy. Greens were rolling very nicely and receptive. This was my first time here and I'll be back. Overall good course.

I have played this course several times and it is always an enjoyable time, well except for holes number 8&9, which have my number!

The course was in good shape, 2 holes were cart path only due to the previous rain, and the pace of play was good (slowed down a bit after the cart pace 5 but picked up about 3 holes later).

Drove two hours here this morning to play and when we showed up to the course for a 930 tee time no one was at the course. Pro pulled in about 9 yelled from afar were closed for the day and when into the pro shop and locked the door. Really disappointed with the service here, it was wet yes but to no notify the people with tee times is absolutely ridiculous. They are closing in April for the year for renovations I wouldn’t waste your time with this dump
