Golf Advisor: Top Courses in Georgia
First time playing this course and I was really excited. I expected a nice country club course and was looking forward to it to be a step above my normal venues. I was very disappointed. Everything is "under construction" which if I had been forewarned might have taken some of the sting off. The amenities were non-existent as the grill house is being renovated. All the bunkers were "closed" as ground under maintenance. Construction equipment in the middle of one fairway as they work to straighten a ridiculous dog leg.
Overall the course is very narrow with the edges falling off quickly and no secondary rough. If it's not in the middle, or darn close, it is a lost ball. Greens are very small with not much relief around the edges.
Might be a good course for the highly accurate player once it is fixed up, but Just not my kind of course, which again might have been alright if the place had been in reasonable condition. My experience with semi-private clubs, with a few exceptions. has generally been less than satisfying.
Better luck nest time,
Play it while you can.
One of the best values around better get a tee time before they go private.
This one will be added to the rotation
The staff was friendly. There is a very nice range and putting green. Start times were delayed due frosty conditions, but once started the pace was quick even though the first tee was backed up due to the conditions. The greens were in great shape and rolled true. I honestly played one of my worst rounds in a while here, but it was 100% on me. I enjoyed the layout and look forward to returning to improve on my score.
Great Course, Top Notch Experience
This course is exactly what golf should be like everywhere you go. Nice buildings, friendly staff, clean carts, restrooms on the course, 2 snack bars, and a cart girl. Nice driving, short game, and putting range as well. The greens and fairways are all in great condition and the course is challenging but not frustrating. Remember if you are a 2-some they will pair you with another 2-some on the weekends but the marshal/starter is very nice and helpful. Great experience!
Excellent for the price
My buddy and I decided last minute to play on Friday.
Course is in great condition considering the amount of rain from the hurricane earlier this week. Had a 3:30 tee time. Only saw one other golfer the whole time. Finished in 3 hrs. Definitely worth the $33. Greens were a little slow. That would be my only complaint if I had to give one.
Excellent layout, excellent condition, Excellent experience
This was my second time playing this course. Nothing but great things to say about my experience. A nice mixture of par 3/4/5 holes. Challenging but fair collection of par 3s.
One of the better courses we’ve played this year, our foursome has played 18 different ones. Tee boxes, fairways & greens all in great shape. Individual in pro shop personable. Played in 4 hours.
Very hot day so with no water on course because of Covid-19 issues, bring plenty of fluids to keep hydrated. There was a cart girl w/refreshments. Got a good website deal, so value for money rated high. Would not pay posted rate, just too much $.
Looking forward to playing here more
First time playing this course, not disappointed.
Staff at the desk were friendly, and the course is in fantastic shape. Greens hardly have a ball mark anywhere and roll true - as smooth as a kitchen floor.
We played on a Friday and there was not a beverage cart out, but I was told by a member that were were a lot of improvements coming in the near future. it's a really nice course that I will play again.
Challenging but fair
The course is in excellent shape. Control is more important than length. The new management is implementing significant changes in the traps and the facilities which will be a big improvement from short sightedness of previous owners. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Saturday round for our foursome was just under 4 hours.
Traditions of Braselton is a great layout that will really challenge your game. Tough course requires you to think about all your shots. Greens are in great condition.
Solid course, slow greens
Course is difficult, with good fairways and rough. Tee boxes have long grass, bunkers are horrible, and greens are almost always slow and bumpy with ball marks covering them, especially on the shorter holes. It’s still a good challenge though, and a solid layout if you ignore #4 (very stupid par 5).
We moved out this way to be on a golf course and it does not disappoint! Can't wait to get back out there. Some of the holes were a little tricky but I will figure them out.
Played on a cold wet day so some areas were soggy to muddy. Greens were very quick and fun. Layout was fun with many dog legs and hills. Clubhouse staff was awesome. Carts are very new and nice. Lots of clear approach shots as there aren’t many trees or bunkers blocking the way
What a waste of time
Drive up an hour to play.
They had cancelled due to frost on a day when it was close to 59. No prior notification or warning.
