Red Bridge Golf and Country Club
About
Red Bridge Golf & Country Club in Locust is routed through stands of mature trees that give the course a peacefully secluded feel. The layout wanders across gently rolling hills, providing a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. There is a stream that runs throughout the golf course, coming into play on a few holes. The course is seemingly long at 7,100 yards from the back tees but it's more forgiving than it appears, which means players of all skill levels can enjoy the golf course. The design relied heavily on the natural features of the landscape, allowing the course to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings while also shaping natural hazards. There are also strategically placed bunkers throughout Red Bridge that complement rather than overtake the natural challenges.

Nice Layout
The course was generally In good shape. My only knock would be the tee boxes. Many of them don’t have any grass and the dirt is packed down making it difficult to get a tee into the ground. Otherwise nice course.
Fun Course
Red Bridge is a good course for the fee paid. It's a fun layout with a few demanding tee shots (to clear the hazard) and a 619 yard par 5 (#18). Greens could be in a bit better shape, but all in all, enjoyed the round!
Sunday 3/29/20
Teed off early, course was wet from recent rain and carts were 90 degree rule but overall course and greens were in great shape.
Fun Day
Played 18 holes at Red Bridge with a buddy and connected with another two-some who, as luck would have it, work at the same place I do. Front 9 was tough but I played better on the back. Course is in pretty good shape except for some of the holes on the back (the cups) seemed to have been damaged. Given all the wet weather we’ve had it’s very playable.
Great course
Really nice course enjoyed playing with friends!! Will be back for sure.
Great Course + New Carts!
Spent the day here and really enjoy it. Probably played here close to ten times in the past few years. It's my go to course. They recently upgraded all their carts, which is impressive, considering the green fees are really manageable. Fun course, nice to learn it and play more. Most people are out there having fun so it's laid back.
Wonderful Course and Round
Just nothing but great things to say. Course was firm and fast (note not the greens which were slow and soft). You have to play back if you want a challenged. Playing white tees or more forward and the course has zero protection other than your failure to hit the ball in a manageable direction.
Shot my lowest round in 5 years and my first 300 yard drive since starting working out again. I also played 18 in about 2 hours and 30 minutes.
I am over the moon.
No ball washers
Course was in OK condition. Greens had little weeds on them. Nice layout but needs work. Can’t really believe that there were no ball washers on any hole.
Great Layout!
Of all the public courses within 30 miles of Charlotte, this is by far my favorite layout. The course is always in nice shape, and you cannot beat the price. This is always at the top of my list when recommending courses to play.
Red Bridge Challenge
I call this my Charlotte Home course! It’s gets better every time I play it.I had Birdies on par 5 #6 and par 5 #13, which are nice challenging holes. But nothing like the long finishing par 5 #18. The only complaint today was that all of the greens were not cut clean. Other than that the course.was in great shape. Red Bridge always drains very well.
After Christmas round
First time playing the course, we played as a twosome. Drove about an hour to get to the course. There had been some persistent rain in the week preceding thus the course was a bit soggy in places, 90 degree was in effect though.
I enjoyed the layout and rolling terrain of the course. The layout is pretty much laid out in front of you, no tricks or blind shots. The greens were in very good condition for the time of year, at a decent speed. NOTE: the slope of the putting green can make you think the green speed is faster than it really is (that is what we thought).
Pace of play was pretty good, although we did wait behind a threesome almost every shot on the back nine, without any consideration by them to let us play through.
I would like to return to play in the spring or summer when the course is green and dry.
This is when you know you’re a total stooge and have to complain about something if you felt the need to complain about ball washers. Clown...
