Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Oak Forest Course
About
Situated in the heart of Lowcountry, the Golf Club at Wescott Plantation is part of one of the area's oldest plantations. There are 27 holes of golf available at the club, which are divided into three nine-hole courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin. Although each golf course has a different character and scenery, they are all dappled with centuries-old live oaks and wetlands. The Oak Forest Course takes its name from the original plantation and has wider fairways than the other two courses. Lush vegetation frames each hole and the classic bunkering embodies the traditional feel of the course. The eighth hole is the signature hole of the entire golf course, distinct for both its scenery and difficulty. Par will be tough on this par 3 with a lake bordering the entire left side.

Westcott Golf North Charleston SC
Given the recent and constant heavy rain the course condition was more the acceptable always value for money. The course was Wet and boggy in some parts more off the fairway though. The greens held up well and are well kept. Always a privilege dealing with the excellent staff, from the pro shop to the starters and the green keepers Westcott is by far my favorite in SC.
Slowest round I’ve ever played.
Was unfortunate enough to fall behind several large groups which made 9 holes take over 3 hours. I paid for 18 but left after the 9th. Too stressful having people nipping at your heels and having to wait ten minutes for every hit. Usually enjoy this course but today was awful.
Wescott cc
Pretty good laid out course The fairways were absolutely horrible. There wasn't any grass at all. The fairways were cut shorter than the greens and it were all mud but the greens were excellent condition I realise it is wintertime Maybe in the summer it would be better to play
Great course for the money not over priced like many Charleston courses
They need to pay more attention to the condition of the fairways . I lost several balls in the fairway because of the leaves it could be easily remedied if they took the time to maintain the course
Challenging
Course is well laid out with challenging shots in all directions. Greens are fairly subtle, and roll very nicely.
Wescott never fail
Great weather great course, and staffs. Could ask for anything better! The condition was amazing. Had a great time. I’ll be back with some friends next time for sure!
Dry today
The fairways were dry enough that you actually got bounce and roll. Greens very firm.
Great value!
Really nice municipal course. Numerous challenging holes. Fairways in great shape and greens smooth and well manicured. Nice landscape and water views. Outstanding value. Will play again!
Great Value
Great layout and very good greens. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was fantastic.
Great for the area
Most golf courses in Charleston County are overpriced. Wescott is a great deal because it's not too expensive, the staff is very friendly, and the driving range is awesome. They also have a practice bunker near the range. Greens are in good shape and cart paths are above average. However, I do not recommend playing this course on the weekend. It is very difficult to play in less than 4.5 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. Last time I played on a Sunday it took 5.5 hours because it was cart path only. Most courses in the area will also be flooded with people on the weekends so good luck.
