About
The Golf Club at Westcott Plantation may be owned by the city of North Charleston but it is far from being your typical municipal course. The 27-hole layout is divided into three nines: Black Robin, Burn Kills, and Oak Forest. They each take their name from the plantation's long history, it's one of the oldest in the area. Care was taken to preserve the centuries-old live oaks and pristine wetlands that are scattered throughout the entire course. Black Robin is the tightest of the three nines with small greens that make it the most challenging as well. Every hole is framed by lush vegetation and various streams, ponds, and wetlands come into play throughout the course. The golf course ends with a welcome chance for a birdie in case you didn't fare too well on the tougher preceding holes.

Great Value
Great layout and very good greens. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was fantastic.
Great for the area
Most golf courses in Charleston County are overpriced. Wescott is a great deal because it's not too expensive, the staff is very friendly, and the driving range is awesome. They also have a practice bunker near the range. Greens are in good shape and cart paths are above average. However, I do not recommend playing this course on the weekend. It is very difficult to play in less than 4.5 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. Last time I played on a Sunday it took 5.5 hours because it was cart path only. Most courses in the area will also be flooded with people on the weekends so good luck.

Good Day at Wescott
Course was in great condition, very good pace of play due to the starter. Staff always friendly, even with covid BS. Was a good day on a good course, always recommend to friends traveling in this area.

Terrible Customer Service!!!!
Staff was very argumentative!!! They felt entitled to belittle people just because they work there!! Course was like playing off concrete and the greens were slowwwwww!!! Grass isn’t cut so you can easily lose ball in first cut!!! Never will play here again!!!

Affordable Great Course in Charleston, SC
Challenging, but open layout. Nice driving range. The bag drop area in relation to the pro shop in relation to the carts makes no sense. Greens could be in better condition, overall the course condition is fantastic. Really a fun course to play.

The weather has been ideal for the growing in period and the greens should be back to our standards by the end of the month.

Rough shape
Overall a fun course to play minus the course conditions. Tee boxes were chunky and uneven. Greens were hot and burnt aside from aeration.
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Unfortunately the aerification process is a necessary evil to maintain long term healthy and strong greens. We generally aerate twice per year: beginning of June and again in early August. The weather conditions are optimum this time of year for the this procedure.
As for the tee boxes, we couldn't agree with you more. Earlier this year we prioritized the bunker restoration, cart path repairs and a new clubhouse roof ahead of the tee boxes. However, as we look to the future, the tee boxes are extremely high on the list for needing help!

1st under 4 hr round in a long time
Love to play in 4 hrs or less especially when the course is in good shape. Course was manicured even with the extreme heat we have had. Great day

Black Robin
My first time playing the course here. It was great condition even though it rain the day before. Greens were in great shape! Will be back another time! Three 9 holes courses to choose to play. I wish I could have played all three! Burn Kill course was close but the other two were awesome! Friendly staff and a few group of three and four some let me play pass because they saw me playing alone! Great experience over all.
