Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Black Robin Course
About
The Golf Club at Westcott Plantation may be owned by the city of North Charleston but it is far from being your typical municipal course. The 27-hole layout is divided into three nines: Black Robin, Burn Kills, and Oak Forest. They each take their name from the plantation's long history, it's one of the oldest in the area. Care was taken to preserve the centuries-old live oaks and pristine wetlands that are scattered throughout the entire course. Black Robin is the tightest of the three nines with small greens that make it the most challenging as well. Every hole is framed by lush vegetation and various streams, ponds, and wetlands come into play throughout the course. The golf course ends with a welcome chance for a birdie in case you didn't fare too well on the tougher preceding holes.

Wescott Golf Club
Course is in excellent shape. Staff is very friendly.
Very Nice Course Overall
Course is setup as 3x9 holes, so you'll have to visit twice to play all 36. We've played twice and it has been a lot of fun. The clubhouse is great and the greens are very nice and challenging (Caution - there are some par 3s that are very deceptive). Overall a nice layout, nice employees, and fun course to play.
Monsoon
Sadly Charleston has been having heavy rains for extended days. Weather is beyond everyone’s control. So the course was extremely wet and we certainly had to wash off the mud splatter, but the course was well laid out, everyone was beyond accommodating, and we snuck in some golf before the weekend that is predicted to rain... a lot!
Summerville golf
An interesting set up with three 9 hole courses. The day we played was cart path only due to the rain. The only criticism is that the bunker drains are clearly blocked on some holes as they were full of water.
Greens in great shape and the general condition of the course is good. I will definitely play there again
Course was good would play it again nice fairways greens were good just little slow because of not being able to mow a lot of rain in the area other then that go play it
Always delivers
Course was in great shape. Unlike some local courses, greens ame through winter in great shape. Just off early summer aeration, about three weeks ago, and coming in nicely. Course is always well maintained. Fairways long and generous. Usually see wildlife, hawks, deer, wading birds and the occasional small gator. Staff is always helpful.
Great local course
Although there was an advisory for aerated greens, the greens were in good shape and rolled true. Scenic forests and wetlands surround course and even saw a swallowtailed kite on Black Robin. One of my favorite local courses.
Very nice course.
Liked the course a lot. Fairways great. Greens would have been but still recovering from aeration. The only negative was the guys who came out on #9 to tell me it was cart path only. No one told me when I checked in and there were no signs. It was a steam bath mid-afternoon so I wasn’t going to voluntarily do it. The guy was not very friendly about it? Maybe he needs some Starbucks training? Other than that it was great
Always delivers
Played Burn Kill and Black Robin 9's. Did not play Oak Forest. One of the strengths of this course is having three nines. Never know which two you will use or in which order. Adds variety. Course was is great shape tee to green. Staff is super. Bar and restaurant are top knotch and full service. As the review title says, this course "always delivers".
Great deal
Courses in great shape.... The greens were exceptional and the fairways and tee boxes or in great shape... the staff was friendly and very informative.... our foursome had a great day of golf!
