Golf Club At Wescott Plantation - Burn Kill Course

About
The Golf Club at Westcott Plantation is a 27-hole course that is situated within one of the area's oldest plantations. The beauty of the Lowcountry is evident throughout the golf course with centuries-old oak trees framing all the layouts and lush vegetation along every hole. The names of the courses: Oak Forest, Burn Kill, and Black Robin, all have origins in the plantation's history. Burn Kill is tighter off the tees than Oak Forest, but more generous than Black Robin. The golf course has a classic bunkering style and there are streams, ponds, and wetlands interspersed throughout for added challenge. The 8th hole is one of the most unique holes of the entire course. On this par 3, the black and blue tees attack the green from a completely different angle than the white, green, and red.

5hrs to play 18 holes
We had 2 foursome wait on almost every hole.No course ranger to keep pace going. They had way to many players on course..We also had a threesome jump a head of us.If this is how you like to play than this is the course for you.Don't mean to give negative review but somebody has to let your staff know.Had my brother in law with me from PA. which was a little embarrassing for me .Just a thought maybe have someone out on course to see what really goes on.
Great value
Course is definitely a fun time especially with friends. Just make sure your keep your ball in the fairway or close to it. Important note- Snakes were plentiful as well.
Nice layout
Cart path only was justified. Lots of standing water. Course was a nice track.
Nothing special
Nice people, 27 holes, but conditions were poor and the clubhouse closes the grill at 2:45 PM. Go figure. There are other options around that beat this track
Great Course for the Value
First time playing, I usually play the Mount Pleasant courses but I had to get a tee time last minute. Really enjoyed the course, well maintained, nothing to write home about but a great track nonetheless. Worth the value for sure.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Course was not too difficult and fun.
Very nice people and challenging track
It was post a large rain so needless to say it was tough sledding. I will come back and play in the spring.
not ready
Fairways were dry and hard as a rock. Slow play, signage missing dry ball washers and a restaurant that wasn't ready to prepare food.
Good course to play but make sure you give yourself time
I really liked the course layout, The holes presented some challenges. Tha staff was courteous. Unfortunately the pace of play was not good. I am guessing this was to be expected due to a lot of golfers.
Very slow pace of play
We should have finished play from when we started but had to quit after 14 holes as it was getting dark. Waited almost every hole. Hard to get into a routine when you have to constantly wait to play.
Nice course
Was in town visiting my son who just bought a place in Summerville. Had a few hours to kill and grabbed his old clubs and shot out there with a T time I got off Golfnow. Extremely friendly staff. Range was closed due to the winter date . . Course was in pretty good shape considering winter conditions. I cannot wait to come back and play it in the warmer months
Had fun and enjoyed round
My wife enjoyed ourselves however after checking in found out we paid ten extra per person through golf now and could have taken advantage of a senior rate at the golf course. I think golf now should not only allow you to register how many are playing but allow you to register for a senior rate if available.
