The Highlands Golf Course

Greens were in terrible condition. New greens on front are not ready for plan. Backside are just bad.

Arrived in plenty of time for a chance to use the nets and putting green. Bag man lined the bags up waiting for some carts for us. Took the few dollars tip without even an acknowledgment....then we waited, and waited ...finally with a few minutes before our tee time we were given carts. ....no nets, and no time to putt.

Generally the greens were very poor.

I've played this course a few times over the last several years and they're always trying something on the greens. I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt and hope that it will be better ...but it's even worse now. Never again for me.

This was the worst golf course I have played in a very very long time! The conditions were absolutely terrible! Greens were unputable dips and bumps everywhere barely any grass! I will never be back! Play discourse about 7 years ago and remember it being slightly better but those days are obviously long gone. Only played this course today because I was recently told it was in decent shape and that was a huge lie. Trust me when I say you will be wasting your time and money going to this golf course. By the way no driving range or practice facility just a large putting green that is not even close to indicative of the greens on the course. Do not waste your time you will be disappointed as I was!!

The Highlands is anormally a fun golf course. First the good. The pace of play for a twosome was great at a 3 hour round. The golfnow tee price was good too. The fairways are generally ok. And of course, the golf course has more than a few challenging holes that require a straight and long tee shot on #1 and #10 as well as the ability to work the ball left to right and right to left on several other holes. All in all a decent course layout. Now for the bad. The greens are in absolutely horrible shape on all 18. Brown bare areas are ubiquitous on every green. It appears as if they may well lose many greens if the greenskeeper isn't careful.. With the current conditions I couldn't find a single putt that would roll true. Alas, I can't recommend the Highlands at this time due to the unfortunate conditions of the greens.

I played with a friend, and we were both surprised how bad the greens are - also the holes were badly cut as circumference is raised so if you hit a soft shot the ball would go either left or right of the hole. If I play again, I'll take my camera.

In 2022 during winter the course was in bad shape. They have improved overall, but quite a few, greens still need work. . There is no driving range.

Overall course was good. Some of the greens on the front nine were in poor condition and difficult to putt. Improved as the round went on.

Prompt and courtesy staff. Loaded our clubs, directed us where to check in. Pace of play was perfect. Waited maybe 2 minutes on one hole. No one pushing us. Great golf. Wanted a beer after play, but Centre Court was dead, but beautiful patio. Wished it was more hopping. After we played, they wiped our clubs down. Overall a wonderful day and impeccable staff!

worst course I've played in Florida; should be $50 at most, but charged $80. Wo'n't let you use range because it is "private." poor layout, worse conditions. Worst value for the money I have seen in Florida - or anywhere. Strongly suggest to avoid this course, many better options in the area.

The course design is outstanding, conditions a bit above average, pace of play probably a bit slow, price was good for this area and in summary it's the best we'll play because this area is overly expensive. That being said I'm from the Mid-West and we experience great conditions most of the time.

Greens could be in better shape. Fairways are average. I’ve played 6 other courses in the area. In my opinion, this would be fourth on my list.

The greens were in poor condition. The starter said 2 and 4 were bad, but many, including the back 9, had very uneven growth and bare spots. The starter was friendly, but made sure he let us know we had booked a special, and if we wanted to tee off 1 minute prior to our scheduled time we would need to go to the clubhouse and pay the $94 going rate. So, though the tee box was empty we waited.

The course was challenging and fun. Course conditions were reasonably good. Pace of play was very good.

The course is a good challenge. The greens were fast for the conditions.
