About
The Highlands golf course is one of three courses owned and operated by Meadows Country Club. In addition to the Highlands and Meadows Courses, there is also the Arthur Hills-designed Groves Course, an 18-hole executive course. The Highlands Course has an "old Florida" layout equipped with plenty of trees and water that tumble across gentle hills. You'll be playing through majestic oaks and towering pines as you take on this challenging-but-fair test. Narrow, tree-lined fairways and small greens demand accuracy but generously the reward well placed shot. The golf course finishes with a tricky par 4. Your tee shot will to be straight and accurate to avoid the fairway bunkers on the left and right, positioning you for a mid iron back into a green that sloped front-to-back and guarded by bunkers on both sides. There is also a lake to the front left.

Decent round for the money
Set in a nice neighborhood. Houses weren't too close to the course. Back 9 is nicer than the front, with a few greens suffering from fungus or something. Course is moderately challenging, not exceptionally interesting but nice. We got an early bird rate of $76 which seemed like a good deal. Staff was great. I love the walk-up snack bar at the turn.
Course in very bad shape
If ownership put as much $ they have in clubhouse into course they would have a nice compliment- it’s in really bad shape
Avoid this train wreck-
Afternoon Round
2:21 pm tee. We actually started about 10 min. early. 3 in front of us stopped after 9. We quickly caught a 2 that was behind a slow 4. Speech about pace of play from the starter was useless since we never saw a ranger. Also, never saw a cart girl after she passed us on the 1st tee. Front 9 greens were atrocious bare spots & sand on all of them.
A little rough in places but overall a good experience
Several greens on the front side had some fungus or something. Back 9 was excellent. Greens were fast and pins were tricky. Bunkers were nice. Took just a little over 4 hours to get around. Got a great early morning rate of $75 which helped also.
A Fair day
I was put with two elderly players who were very nice
Not impressed
Front 9 greens were horrible. Second nine were better. Lot of bad stretches on the cart paths. Pot holes and such.
Too many bare spots.
Good course but too many bare spots on greees. Lots of bare spots in fairways as well. Should be better given the support from the Mca.
Conditions
Poor tee boxes - mostly dirt, many dry spots on fairways and greens. Never see a ranger on the course.
Nice layout
Course could improve: tee boxes, fairway grass, leaves off rough areas. Greens on the back were better than the front.
