Designed by Arthur Hills, the Groves Golf Course may be a "short" course but it's still a challenge. It's one of three courses operated by Meadows Country Club. With a layout that sprawls across more than 50 acres, the par-63 layout feels more like a championship par-72 course. The layout is comprised of nine par 4s, eight par 3s, and one par 5. The course rewards accuracy and good shot placement, meaning it's not strength that matters but being able to strategize. The seventh hole is a memorable par 3 that appears simple enough thanks to a massive and seemingly inviting green, but the problem isn't hitting the green but getting your shot on the same level as the pin. There is a 5-foot slope that runs through the green, the severity of which is matched only by some of the greens at Augusta National.

Tough little Par 65 Executive course
Lots of water and strategically placed hazards. Makes the course a little bit tougher than your normal executive course.
Very enjoyable few hours to play, no hurry on a Sunday Afternoon in November in Florida.
beginner course
unfortunately, no practice facility unless you are a member
Only 4300 yds from the back tees
Should’ve looked more in depth at the course description but the course was very very short. Only one par five. Six or seven par threes. A great beginner course but would not recommend for experienced golfers
Great course for a tune-up or practicing your irons
Short course in average to slightly below average condition but a heck of a lot of fun. Great for couples or people with different skill sets because it plays easy, greens are slow but consistent, and for some looking to work on their short/iron game I found it terrific. Staff if super friendly, they have rental (decent) clubs, etc.
Underwhelming
Too short. Tee boxes in bad shape. Greens good but slow. Now I know why everyone plays Tbe Highlands.
Some tips
The Groves course has not been updated on any of the GPS course apps. Grint, Garmin etc., do not have the entire course correct when downloading. This is aggravating. Bring your range finder to estimate yardage. Other than that and the rudeness of the staff, it is a fun course.
Grooved out
The course was in OK shape but nothing like the other Meadows Highlands course and had many short holes. If you want to work on your short game then this might work for you.
Nice day at The Groves!
It's a fun course. My wife beat me again! Darn. We played in just over 2 hours... and we had a shower that lasted only 2 minutes. :-)
