The Groves Golf Course
About
Editor's Note: The course is temporarily closed.
Designed by Arthur Hills, the Groves Golf Course may be a "short" course but it's still a challenge. It's one of three courses operated by Meadows Country Club. With a layout that sprawls across more than 50 acres, the par-63 layout feels more like a championship par-72 course. The layout is comprised of nine par 4s, eight par 3s, and one par 5. The course rewards accuracy and good shot placement, meaning it's not strength that matters but being able to strategize. The seventh hole is a memorable par 3 that appears simple enough thanks to a massive and seemingly inviting green, but the problem isn't hitting the green but getting your shot on the same level as the pin. There is a 5-foot slope that runs through the green, the severity of which is matched only by some of the greens at Augusta National.

Great day
It was my birthday and I beat my husband! Even though we are on Corona watch everyone made the day fun and thank you
Nice course, challenging greens
Staff was very friendly, course was nicely maintained and fun to play with a few long holes and the rest par 3 and 4. We’ll definitely go back.
Tough Shape, Good Value
My wife likes this Executive Course with all it’s Par 3’s. It has a lot of water and the idiots who run this course don’t put the layout on the cards and first time players will hit their ball into the water that they didn’t know was there. If you are going to play this course, print out a layout so you know where the water is and isn’t . Greens are pretty good and the fairways and tees are in very bad shape.
Fun short course
Staff was very friendly from the get go. Course was a fun short course to play. Greens were is very good shape. Fairway "grass" and tee boxes were in poor condition. Had a great time playing there.
Great short course
Great course to work on short game. The greens are in fantastic shape. They were fast. I would come back. Enjoyed it very much.
Slow play and poor signage
We got behind 2 foursomes playing scramble together. They took forever and didn’t consider allowing us to play through. These guys created a considerable back up of players with no ranger to be found.
The signage from hole to hole was poor. Several times we crossed roads and there wasn’t a sign to advise direction of next hole.
Challenging Short Course
This little gem is far more challenging than any other short course I have ever played. Tight fairways, lots of water hazards and sand traps make even the shortest holes every bit as difficult as some of the premier courses I have had the pleasure to play. Take a few extra balls!
Nice Course for the Money
Greens were really good and true. Tee boxes and fairways were okay. Wife and I had a great time. Would highly recommend. Nice season starter course. Weather was plesant with a breeze. Staff was awesome. Pulled up and they offloaded clubs from our travel bags. Got off early too. Ladies tees were good. Wife hit 188 us par 4 to 6 ft and lipped out Eagle but made Birdie. She loved it.

Good little course and challenging
We had a good day. Staff were amazing. Course at par 65 was challenging especially around the greens.
excellent for training purposes
We lost a PW and the staff was extremely helpful around this. Challenging course with interesting holes. Lots of water. Good greens, passable fairways.
