Played the course several years ago and it at that time not good. Course was in good condition and

worth playong

For Florida it is a rare treat to get Rye grass. This course does for this time of year. In summer will die back. It needed cutting yesterday and made for tricky shots around the greens.

Sand traps do not have drainage, highly recommend to take them before you strike the ball as they are hard clay. Half of the traps have standing water due to the heavy watering required for Rye grass. Marshals suggested free lift or rake. Better to take, after all ball in the trap.

Front nine is a much greater layout than the back. Over time if they creative back could be great.

Otherwise fun place to play, residence do not come into play.

Seeding has improved greens and fringes areas, with improvements to tees and fairways also noticeable

You can tell they have put in a lot of work at Bent Tree. The fairways are much better and the greens are in great shape. There's still a lot of work to do such as the cart paths and bunkers but they are definitely on the right path.

We had two groups in front of us at every hole and it was so slow we were only able to finish 12 holes. This is the 2nd time we’ve golfed here and the same thing happened last time.

Trees, water, doglegs...enuf to keep it interesting. Course condition very good. Green a bit slower but relatively true. Our pace was fast, probably because wind conditions were rotten...lol...2-3 club ups and swirling. I'd recommend this course.

This is a great course. Well taken care of. We play there several times when we are vacationing in the area.

Decent shape, played on a cold day so really can't comment on pace of play. Price went up a lot this year have to compare it to others to see if yhe value is there

Absolutely no ammenities. The cart runs occasionally which has hot dogs, etc but an abandoned club house operation. I watched it slowly fade into zilch beginning before covid. It’s a real shame for a Sarasota classic club. Even a wet cloth would be something at least since no club washers anywhere, no driving range, marshall, Zip. However, kudos for course maintenance. Very nice. 😊

Aside from that, the course is in good shape, greens are slower but good shape, fairly true,. I liked the layout. Some fairways wider, some narrow, plenty of water but not too much, par 5's reachable for the avg golfer.

We really enjoyed everything about this course. The fairways weren’t perfect but much better than most public courses. Greens were true and in good shape. Staff is friendly. I will be back again soon.
