Poor Conditions
First and last time to play this course. More like a playing golf in a pasture than a golf course. Greens had just been aerated but not sure why the waisted the time and money. Quit after 9 holes because the groups in front of me had no clue about golf or etiquette.

Okay par 3
The course is okay for someone wanting to work on there short game. Just 1 par 5 which really can be a par 4. Very short par 4s and a ton of par 3s. Tee boxs are rough and ants everywhere. Greens were mostly sand so can't get true putts. Fairways are so so but need work. Driving range is weird since you hit in the water and can not get true distance reads hitting on floating islands that move around. Don't expect much when you go.

What a dog track
By far the worst course I played in the Sarasota area. If playing off of dried up, dead grass, then this is your place. The tee boxes are trash and the fairways aren't any better. The greens, while dry, where not the worst I've played. Throw a dart at a map and you'll find a course better than the palms. Don't waste your time or money here.

Can’t be positive on almost any aspect of this experience. Playing golf for over 50 years, this is the first time I left after 9 because it just wasn’t fun.

Ground very hard due to lack of water/rain. No waiting thanks to many northerners gone for the season. All went well.

Gulf gate snowbird
A 5 some started on #1 just before us ( 1 walker and 4 golfers in 2 carts. I don’t think pro shop knew. I went in to comment, he came out to look, but they had no one else there that could leave check-in. He suggested we play #1 once they cleared(it was my wife and myself) and skip #2 and go to 3. We did that, and joined a father and his teenaged son to make a foursome. We stayed ahead the whole round, one could sense grumbling but nothing outright.
I believe the shop did not know the solo golfer was joining the 5. Nevertheless, he must have paid and had a t time(not ahead of us))
Have never seen any on course help here.
