Had fun despite the negative features
This course is pretty minimal, but offers a lot of OK par 3 holes to work on the short game. Few staff in evidence and the check-in guy was very terse, almost rude. The cart kid was friendly and helpful. We had gale force winds on the front nine which made it quite challenging. The much shorter back 9 was a welcome change of pace. When I booked the round on GN, the site said that the fee included greens fee, cart, lunch and range balls - but only the first two were correct. Off-course amenities were minimal. Greens were OK, but had bare spots around the edges. Some water features were factors. Several holes on the front were pretty interesting.

The front 9 was OK but you could put the back nine in a shoe box. End of story.

Not what it has been in the past
The pro shop and bar staff were not very friendly, might even say grumpy. The course wasn't in the condition it used to be. The overall layout is decent, but the maintenance staff needs to pay more attention. Totally out of food at the turn and we teed off at 11 in the morning. Don't believe we will be playing this one again.

Mediocre course
If u want to play a short course with average conditions, check this place out. I played with a GolfNow special rate of $33 but wouldn’t pay a dollar more. The layout is dangerous with many tees in perilous spots from the prior hole tees. Greens and fairways are typical of Florida courses - bad and thin grass. Not much to hit off. Ready to leave my clubs north with the prices at obscene levels.

Once a good course
The reviews were decent but the course was not. Tees just ok. Rough not maintained at all. Fairways ok. Greens not good. Old course was good. This version is a one and done. Price is way too high for what you get.

Great lil course
Sven was awesome! Jason was also awesome!!! Course is coming back from Hurricane Ian and is getting better every time I play. I suggest playing from the Long tees so you get your $$$ worth. Fun course and cold beer in the clubhouse! Will play again and again!!!

Back 9
The back 9 is deceptive. The par 3’s challenge one short game. New grass seed coming in good.
Conditions
Course is in excellent condition. Staff did a fantastic job after hurricane IAN. Over seeding has taken beautifully too with tee boxes, fairways, approaches and green are all perfect. Highly recommend giving The Palms a try.
Great Value
Enjoyed playing in the Southeast Guide Dogs tournament on Saturday. Since the moment we arrived it was so well run! Course looked great. They have worked so hard on it since Hurricane Ian. Fairways were great, greens were great. Just love playing there. Sven and all the crew work so hard. It is a great place to play.
Tournament Play
Played in tournament for Veterans and Service Dogs. The course was in great shape. I could clearly see the hard work the grounds staff have put into the course. The end of tournament meal was fantastic. Great cause great group of people

Rough condition
I have to believe that the good reviews on this course were fabricated. Course conditions were horrible. . Rough is 50+ percent weeds. No management on course, and expensive drinks. Find another spot.
