Short and Sweet
Arroyo Seco is tucked away in the middle of multiple freeways, tennis courts, and a dog park. The course is actually pretty well maintained for the number of rounds of public golf that I imagine it sees. It is a very easy course that never had me using a club longer than my pitching wedge, but if you are new to golf it is a great course to learn on with virtually no hazards, and a need to hit the ball only one way, straight. The short course features a small stream, absolutely no fairways, no bunkers, and very little trees to have to worry about. It is quick and easy to play as long as no one in front of you is moving that slow. If you run through the course with no slow groups it wouldn’t be out of the question for an experienced player to finish a round in 2 or less hours. While not challenging if you want to play an easy and quick round that forces you to work on your wedges than it is a pretty great value for how well the greens actually play. I had a good time playing there and having a couple of beers whilst feeling good about myself for making birdie or par on essentially every hole. The only issue with the course is the front nine gets significantly more backed up than the back nine as they don’t allow anyone to tee off of the back nine to start. This interfered a little with pace of play making the back nine extremely quick and the front nine about an hour longer than needed, in addition you can’t really play through anyone, as you just get stuck behind another group. Great course to go to with less experienced friends and have a couple of beers.
Music
Shouldnt let the players play loud music,we play golf to relax and enjoy it,not to listen loud rap music.....
We're back!
I have a couple of friends learning the game and this course is great for them. The course very nice condition and the weather was great.
Coming back
First time playing this course and it was great. Excellent for your short game. Course ib great shape.
Challenging Greens and No Wind.
Enjoyed my first round of golf at Arroyo. It was a windy Santa Ana Advisory day everywhere in Socal but in the Arroyo it was Clam, Clear and not many golfers. Greens were the Biggest Challenge and the Staff was Fantastic. Looking forward to Round Two!
