About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Give your money to a bum instead.
Course is in terrible shape. Crew doesn’t even mow or use a string trimmer. Nothing like losing your ball in the fairway. Greens have cancer. So much potential but clubhouse is dull, there is no cart girl, and the vibe given off appears that the course doesn’t care if they succeed. Driving range is terrible.this course might be the biggest letdown I’ve experienced in golf.

Don't even consider it at its current condition.
Only the back 9 holes are open for play. Greens have been horrendous for months now. Tee boxes and fairways aren't much better. I'm not sure what happened but whoever is in charge of course maintenance needs a wake-up call. Not to mention the driving range is only ~275 yards long with houses directly bordering it in the back. Won't be playing here again.

Not worth the $
Booked the tee time a it was the only 0800 tee time in the area on golf now. Half the course was closed and had to play the back 9 twice which was advertised but would of thought at least that 9 would be kept playable. Majority of the greens were patchy with sand traps on the greens.

Horrendous golf course
Absolute waste of time and money. $30 to play the back 9twice. The course should be closed until fixed. Not going back anytime soon!!

course was in pretty good shape. not many people and play was smooth.
Shalimar
Staff was very friendly. The front nine was closed for construction.
All the greens were burnt up.
Fairways had weeds growing everywhere.
The rough had tall weeds that haven't been cut in weeks.
All in all thet didn't deserve a penny of my money. It is no wonder I had to prepay because we would have left and found a better course. Lessen learned on this one.
This course should not be on anyone's Playlist even for free.

Front 9 was closed for greens repair. Nice layout. Nice course. Hopefully greens repair is first step in improving upkeep.

Would not book it
We booked bc we thought it was a decent price. Green are the worst I’ve ever seen a course have. Pace of play is terrible since they had the front 9 shut down and you had to play the back 9 twice. Layout is a cool concept and all but between the terrible greens and bunkers that have had zero attention I would never recommend going.
