About
Located along the shores of Choctawhatchee Bay, Shalimar Pointe Golf Club enjoys a scenic, rolling landscape dotted with trees. This often-overlooked golf course has been considered one of the Emerald Coast's best-kept secrets but the word is beginning to get out. The course, due to its challenging but playable nature, has been used for U.S. Open qualifiers and it was host to the Emerald Coast Tour. The layout features immaculately manicured greens that are framed by strategic bunkering and water hazards on a number of holes. The golf course is challenging but fair with five sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels. The course is Shalimar Pointe's main attraction but it is complemented by extensive practice facilities including an expansive driving range, putting green and chipping green.

Good Condition
I hadn't played Shalimar Point in over a year and it is in good condition. The fairways are in decent shape and the greens are in great shape. They have made some hole adjustments to a few of the holes and I like them.
Course
The fairways need to be seeded as there are too many bare dirt spots. The greens play like you are putting on cement. Over the top fast.
Good course for the money
Wife & I enjoyed our round. A local joined up with us & was friendly & provided tips on spots to avoid. Greens were fast; bunkers were in good shape.
Great course and busy during the mid day. Had a noon tee time and got pushed back to 12:30. Paired up with Jim, Jerry and Micheal, who work at the course. Two republicans and one democrat, played party against party on first nine ended up tied. Played rabbit on second nine. I parred 17-18 to win! Great guys to play with.
Needs lots of Improvement before Summer
I recently played at Shalimar, and unfortunately, the conditions were disappointing for this time of year. The fairways were thin and sandy, making good lies hard to come by. The greens were extremely fast, but not in a smooth or consistent way—there was barely any grass on them, which made putting more of a chore than an enjoyable challenge.
It’s understandable that conditions can fluctuate with the seasons, but it didn’t seem like much effort had been put into maintenance. Hopefully, things improve because the layout has potential, but right now, it’s just not in good shape.
2nd yr playing Shalimar
Greens are so much better this year. Tough but playable course.
Challenging course
Had a great time playing this course.Quite hilly for the area,with some tight,unforgiving fairways and tough greens that were in great shape.
Fairways were brown do to time of year and recent massive winter snowstorm and it is a well laid out course..would play again..good value for price booked through GN/GP.
