Springfield Golf Club

Greens for the most part in good condition considering it’s March. Pace was good until the turn where a threesome somehow got in front of us and were super slow. Overall very good course not a ton of water to lose balls but plenty of woods for arrant shots

Course was wet, but not excessively, following about a 1/4 in of rain the day before, and a lot of rain in Jan-Mar. "Cart path only" makes for a lot of steps, but pace was OK for Sat a.m. Greens were slow but in good shape. Tee boxes were sparse - they haven't had a chance to replenish grass, so grass was often patchy at best. Fairways were OK for early spring, about as could be expected. Bunkers were well maintained. Always a challenging layout, good variety of holes.

Doesn’t drain well. Very hilly. Most tee shots are over big dips or hills. Lots of blind shots and dog legs.

I have played this course a number of times over the years..it is in the absolute best shape I have ever seen. I dont know what you guys are doing but keep it up

The course was really busy on this beautiful and unusually warm day for this time of the year. The staff was very friendly upon checking in and they were very helpful with local information. Outstanding practice facilities if you show up to warm up. The course was in great shape from tee to green with lot of undulating fairways and greens. Greens were very quick and smooth,but some were hard to read. If you get a chance to play this course, you won’t be disappointed. I will definitely be back again to play it again.

Have played several times recently and the course is in excellent condition. The greens are superb! Had a friend who just played several courses in the St. Augustine area including the ones at the Golf Hall of Fame and a couple at the Villages tell me that Springfield's greens were better than any that he played on in Florida.

Have played this course on several occasions now and it always presents a challenge. A good layout with some tough holes, depending on pin placement. They have a very nice practice facility and it’s a fun place to play.

First and foremost, this is a worthwhile course to play. The layout is great, the greens are true, and the amenities of the range and putting green is what you need to prepare for the course.

The only real knock on this course is the fact it gets so much use, that there are numerous divots on tee boxes and fairways that simply have not had time to repair. For the money, this is a worthwhile course to play and for the money, it is a real bargain. Would play it again, but not as my main track.

It was a very sloppy day. Forecast was 60 and sunny and it ended up being 42 and rainy. Regardless, it’s still a good course. Really good. Greens were perfect. Staff is always friendly. Marshall was driving around doing what he could but it was cart path only and the pace was respectfully slow. No big deal. Check it out. You will be pleased.

Great course but bring your game because it’s a tough test.

The course was wet. That could not be avoided as just 30mins north still had snow on the ground. From the moment I popped my trunk a ranger (Larry)was there to offer me a cart. He took the time to show me around the grounds and show me where to go for the pro shop. This place is class. I drove over an hour to spend a day of my vacation at this course and I'm glad I did. The layout is tough from the white tees but fair. The greens were true to the roll. ALL southern courses should abandon bent and go Bermuda! Springfield keep up the good work!

Springfield, with its renewed greens is my favorite course once again.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating, playing there is a true pleasure.

It was a very nice day for a wonderful course. I rated pace of play only four stars because there was a group I had of us, a threesome, who was holding up the entire course. It was pretty sad and they were very selfish. Regardless, five stars at least for everything else. The staff is always extremely friendly. I pulled up in my truck and was on the telephone. When I finished my call, I got out of my truck and realized the cart/bag attendant had already taken my clubs out of the back of my truck and put them onto a cart, ready and staged for me. It was really really nice. The lady behind the counter is a sweet as she can be. Check this place out. Extremely fast and very very very smooth the greens.

Even though they were a little too fast for my taste, the greens are in excellent shape.

Pace of play was so slow had to quite after 4 holes. Tee times seemed way to stacked on top of each other. It would have been a six hour round of play. Like the course have to do something about pace of play before I come back!!!

This is a good golf course with an accommodating staff. The layout is challenging, maintenance is good and the greens were a little slow for my taste but smooth and in good shape. I highly recommend it.

Pavlov is terrible. This person should not be behind counter. Does not know how to speak to customers coming to play golf. In an industry looking for players, Springfield needs to look at some of there staff

What a shame. Will be playing other courses more welcome to golfers
