Been playing here since 2001 and this is the best shape I’ve ever seen it in. Fairways are the best I’ve seen in years . The ball sits up like a tee! Just hope it can stay that way. Bring all your clubs!!!!!,!

Course is in the best shape in 3 years!!

Not only did they repair the greens, they even built new bridges for the golf carts!!!

I AM IMPRESSED

This had one of the most welcoming and inviting drive ups I’ve ever been to. Very modern and uptidate and beautiful. Not my type of course especially for the drive I had. The rough was unbearably high so finding balls was tough af. Elevated greens so any errant shots were in the abyss. I can see the course is headed in the right direction we’ll see if it gets there.

The course was in great shape. We had a ton of rain recently so the rough was a little long since they couldn’t mow it as much as needed but at no fault of their own. The greens were in great shape, the course is well taken care of. The carts are all relatively new. Bunkers were good but a little wet, again, lots of rain so it’s to be expected. Everyone was very friendly.

This course just reopened after 2 months of being closed and wow, I was impressed. The rough was thick and challenging and it was impossible to hit the green. This is how a championship course should play. The staff were very friendly and provided us with some great information about the course and changes that had been made. The pro even came out and welcomed us!!!! Great course, great people and a great day. I recommend this course to anyone in the Charlotte region.

Used to be a fantastic course at a great value. Now it’s a garbage course at LUDICROUS rates and NO value. Lower the greens fees until this is all straightened out. Winter-kill is a bad excuse; many courses don’t have these issues.

Obviously there are very serious management issues going on when Renaissance has better greens than Springfield and they charge 30 vs. 60. JOKE!!

Love this course but the greens were in bad shape. I'm sure they will get better.

Greens in bad shape as they seemed to have lost many to disease. But some tee boxes were also rough and that seemed like poor management of the course. Very nice people who were apologetic about the conditions.

I play here quite often and was very surprised by the condition of the greens. The affected areas are unplayable. I have not seen it this bad in 8 years. I understand the cold weather and the rain affected the bermuda grass and they are working on getting the greens back in shape, but charging $60-$70 is not right. (We only paid $29 from a Hot Deal). Some of the tee boxes could use help. Most of the fairways are in good shape. I really like the course and enjoy the layout and hope the course comes back to how it usually is.

I played Saturday May 5th. I was really looking forward to this round as I had heard great things. The practice facility was very nice, putting green was perfect, but about half of the greens were completely burned out and diseased. No one on the course ever mentioned it, not anyone in the pro shop or the starter. And I don't believe a golf course should be charging $60 for such poor conditions on half of the greens. And I mean not even playable they were so bad.

I want to give the course another shot...but I'm very hesitant to spend another $65 for it.

Course is not worth what they charge. $55 for horrible greens

Usually love this course, one of the top rated public course in the area. BUT not now! Little disappointed how they are charging $50 for a round with such a condition. Courses even give you special rates for aerification and this is worse than aerificated green! They give you $5 discount which it's still $50. Not sure how long this will last but definitely avoiding this course for awhile.

This course is USUALLY in great shape but they are having some serious problems on several of their greens. I understand this can happen especially this time of the year. However, the course should consider this when setting pricing. Anything over $50 is too high for this course right now. Just sayin...

I took my friend for her very first time onto a real golf course.

I drove her around so she could see what a legitimate course looks like and watch some people play.

Although they tried for us (really for her), nobody was able to sink a hole in one.

We didn't actually play but she got the idea and quickly fell in love with golf.

Springfield is very hilly and challenging so I do not recommend it for beginners.

Fort Mill (which was totally booked) is flat, much easier & female friendly.

We still had a ton of fun as the staff and other golfers were extra friendly and very courteous.
