Springfield Golf Club

The course overall is good for spring not really here yet. With that being said, the greens are not good right now. The green are very bumpy, some look matted down and almost crusty looking. Hopefully with some good weather the greens will improve, I enjoy Springfield it's a good test.

Still at least a month away from being in OK shape

I’m not sure why but he greens were in terrible shape. They were painted and dry as a bone in a lot of spots. I was so frustrated that I quit after 9 and got a rain check. It was almost worse than playing on punched greens.

Played course 14 days earlier and some greens were good and others bad but wrote off to recovering from winter. Played again expecting greens to be a little better but I found all the greens to be in horrible condition. The fairways and tee boxes were poor both times and two of my friends had sand shots and the sand traps had no sand. The bunker lips are cut and pine-straw landscaped with precision while the course playing conditions in not close to acceptable for a quality golf course. The green fees however are what you would expect to pay for a quality golf course. Disappointing Experience. Be warned.

Thanks to a great deal, we managed to get out on a colder than average day for a round. While the grass was still dormant, the layout was absolutely terrific, The fairways were not terrible to hold, only the approach shorts were quite challenging for us in the early season. The course offered a very fair test of golf, only it did get the best of me! We will certainly try to make it back for another round when in town again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Next time - Hopefully with another hot deal and at the same time make use of the wonderful practice facilities. Al the best!

I’ve played this course three times and each time I’ve enjoyed the challenges it presents. Course layout is great. This pas5 time it was very wet, damp. It was cart path only, which made it very time consuming, but enjoyed it and plan to play it whenever I’m in Fort Mill area.

Course layout was great. Some greens had winter damage and unrepaired divots. Others were excellent. I want to play course again after the fairways and teeboxes start to grow grass in spring. I would definitely recommend

Course is in good condition and the staff are great. Just tried one of the new electric golf carts. These golf carts are fantastic. Very powerful, fast and smooth. Great seats, 2 coolers to keep all of your drinks cold and 2 USB ports which I’ve never seen on a golf cart before. It held its charge well and was just as fast and powerful on the 18th as it was on the 1sr. The hotdogs with chili and slaw are also great. One of the better golf courses in the area with great amenities and service.

Was a Springfield member last year but decided to join GolfNow this year. I now know I made the right switch after seeing the atrocious condition this course is in, especially when compared to the other places I've played this year.

Amazingly, Springfield's 'sister' course Fort Mill Golf Club, which is only 8 minutes away, is in 8 times better condition!

Staff was friendly played as a single paired with three other people. Pace-of-play was good , course for this time of year still wet due all the rain.

Great course. Fast greens. Very good shape and great staff. Will be back next week.

Enjoyed the Course... Challenging, undulated and in great shape. One of my favorites that I have ever played. It was cart path only due to alot of heavy rain that week, but course was still in great shape. Requires distance control and accuracy.

The course was in very good condition. The greens are the newest hybrid bermuda, so they good in the summer and practically just as good in the fall and winter. The only bad thing I can say about he course is that it might be too hard for high handicappers.
