Springfield Golf Club

Took over 5 hours to play 18 holes. Pace of play was slow.

Nice course...Greens were smooth. Plenty of sand in traps and had a decent challenge to it. Tree lined both sides of each hole. Would def play again.

Only complaint I had was the snack bar. I got a ham and cheese sandwich.....and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and was $8. $4 for a peanut butter and jelly?!?!?!?!?!

I have played this course many times. It's simply one of the best public courses in around Charlotte. Course layout is unique and challenging and the greens are always in great shape. However, pace of play is always an issue here. Yesterday our group teed off at 1:09 pm. Never have I teed off at 2:30 in any afternoon was worried about finishing before dark on the first tee. We played 18 in the dark. Not once was a ranger on the course to keep pace of play. It's sad when the course is this great, also doesn't help grow the game when my son gets bored waiting for people. Probably won't come back because the price isn't worth it for such a long day.

Springfield has been one of my favorite courses since I moved to Charlotte over 10 years ago. Staff and facilities are great. Layout and course condition are also good. However greens were much slower and really bumpy. Unfortunately golfers aren't repairing ball marks. The course only complaint I had is the pace of play. We were waiting on every shot. One hole had four groups on it. The starter was not pushing slower groups along. Ofcourse they probably aren't use to busy course play in February.

My son and I loved this course. The staff and clientele were all very friendly. I really don't have anything negative to say which is rare. We will definitely be back.

The course is in good shape -- nice layout, rolling hills, & lots of blind shots. The greens are nice & very challenging. Would like to come back & play again.

Course was in good codition for Feburary.

Very tough from middle tees for mid handicappers. I usually play the white but the rating are not 129.

Have to play smart to score.

I've always enjoyed playing this golf course. It really has it all when it comes to course layout. Short par 4s medium length par 5s and a good mix on the par 3s. Playing it a time or two will help with a few blind shots that will come up in your round. They are pretty proud of it and can charge a pretty penny to play so It's a good idea to use golf now to get the good deals.

What a lovely track with a challenging layout. Almost no holes were flat and it was a tough scoring day with gusts of wind and cold temps never getting over 40 degrees. My only issue was pace of play, we waited a handful of holes and finished around the 5 hour mark, but the greens were pure and fast and the bunkers were well placed on every hole to add another challenge.,

The layout is straight-forward and the greens can be challenging if you end up on the wrong side of the hole. Other golfers were accommodating and let our twosome through. Finished in 3-and-a-half hours. Hard to find a better value for the quality of the course!

One of the best courses in the Charlotte area. I will be back at this course

This is one of the top public courses in the area, great shape, some very challenging holes, good practice facility, staff is always friendly.

Outside staff was wonderful. Starter was very friendly and proud of his course. Ranger helped us out when we hit slow play because of a small outing. He was able to have them stand aside so we could play through as a twosome. Made for a very enjoyable day. Highly recommend this course.

Played here for the first time yesterday. Friendly staff in pro shop, good practice range, small putting green. Played with 2 other golfers in just under 4 hours, only slowdown on last few holes of back nine, need a ranger to patrol more to speed up slow players. A group ahead of us had a walker hitching a ride on one of the golf carts, slowing us down. Very challenging layout. Mini verde greens not as good as others I have played around Charlotte, but were better than other bentgrass greens I have played. Will be back soon!

How about the great weather and the quality of Springfield to come together for a great afternoon of fun and nature , at its best. Clear sky and multiple colors of leaves created a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere to try my skills on an outstanding and challenging course. Had a super time and will be back again soon.
