Old Union Golf Course

Some golfers are great drivers , some have great short games or they are great at putting. Most golfers don’t don’t do everything great all the time. Golf courses are the same way. Rarely do you find a course that has everything going for it . Old Union is one of those courses. It has reasonably wide fairways with no blind shots, large greens that are fast enough but are reasonably level and roll true. Even the sand is nice. The course also has a great practice area. I will play this course every chance I get.

For starters the gentlemen in the clubhouse were awesome! Very friendly and accommodating as my friend and I brought our 2 sons, 9 and 11 years old. From the first tee to the last green the golf course impressed me! The greens were firm and fast!!!

This is my second time playing the course on vacation. This is one of the few valley courses in North Georgia and is a hidden gem of a course. The greens were absolutely perfect; the best I’ve ever played at a public course (and it’s only April). I wish this course was near where I lived in Atlanta - I would become a member in a heart beat! The course, staff, conditions, practice facilities, and pace of play is absolutely unbelievable for the price! Keep up the great work. See you soon!

Greens are fantastic. Course just needs to dry out

I enjoy playing this course. Always have a good time. There are blind shots on this course, but frequency in playing here would help with that. I would recommend this course to other golfers.

Had a pleasant round. Will mplay again. Wish there was more grass. But this time of year course was in great shape. Greens fast and great shape.

Course was very soggy. Lots of maintenance going on that made it more soggy in the fairways. Not worth the money. I’ve played it several times before and was in good shape after new management took over. Hopefully will be better during the summer.

Played on a Saturday morning after a 90 minute frost delay.

Is a valley course, in contrast to the other courses in the area that are mountainous with a lot of elevation changes, this course does not have that. However, it more than makes up for it with beautifully laid out holes and challenging tee shots. Greens are fantastic and putt true (and fast).

I was not expecting much when I booked this since it was my only option after being unable to get a tee time at Old Toccoa Farm (my favorite overall course in the US). I was MORE than happy with this course and will definitely play again if I'm in the area.

Played early after a heavy fog. Greens are very firm and fast. Fairways are rated 5/10. Patchy, very spongy around some greens. Well worth playing and very challenging depending which tees you select to play. I played the blue at 6300 or so yards.
