Great course
We love this course. Greens are in excellent condition. Definitely recommend this course. Played twice this week. Plan to play next week!
Great shape!
Course is in excellent shape. Definitely has some challenging holes. Will be playing again very soon.
Very busy. Ranger could have helped
A lot of groups packed in together for a Wednesday afternoon. Course staff should have asked threesome of high handicappers to let the multiple twosomes behind them play thru. There a couple of tee shots you need to know where to hit the ball. Overall solid conditions
Hidden trouble
The course conditioning was not that bad. Some rough areas and some crab grass intrusions but overall smooth good speed greens. Lots of unfixed ball marks to putt around. Main problem is hidden trouble you can’t see from tee. Good example is number 10 where I hit a good drive down the middle only to find a creek running right across fairway in landing zone. No course pictures or signs giving guidance. This happened on several holes.
Great layout
Really enjoyed the layout of this course. Plenty enough trouble to avoid and challenging raised greens, well bunkered at times and the rough was thick enough to get your attention.
Very Playable for Amateur Golfers
I’ve been golfing regularly for a little over 6 months now, and Old Union was a great course for golfers with a wide range of handicaps. We had a blast.
Very nice course
Course is in very good shape. They have the same problem that most courses have, people don't fix ball marks on the greens. That is the only negative comment I have. I would highly recommend playing this course.
Tough sight lines
A good yardage book would help. Lots of tee shots with little idea of where to hit it or how far. Quite a few hidden creeks that catch you. And, lots of wide open fairways too.
Very nice track
Overall very good condition. Tees and fairways are in very good shape. Greens are good, but many ball marks. I don’t know if some players there don’t repair their marks or there’s an issue with the greens that won’t allow them to heal. Overall Old Union is an excellent value and fun course to play. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.
