Nice run for the money
Course in pretty good shape considering all the freezes we've had. $32 at 1100 reasonable to.
Decent course for the coin
We played the Lakes and the Palms courses. The Lakes 9 was a little wetter in the fairways and rough than should be expected. Course layout is enjoyable, only request would be they include hole diagrams on their scorecards. We were shooting blind on a few holes not knowing where to play. The food and service at the Turn was very solid. All in all we enjoyed our round and all agreed we would be back to play there again.
Picture of the whole
There are no pictures of the whole at the teeboxes. If you play the first time, you have no information about the whole.
Expectations were higher considering price
The front nine was in terrible shape (Lakes), tees not mowed, or fairways. The back side (Palm) was in better condition. Greens were fair, not fast. Not worth the price they charged.
One ball found
I didn't lose one ball though water came into play a number of times. But as usual to lose a ball in the water it has to be a bad shot and your own fault, except for a few courses I've played and not returned to. Sandpiper I will return to over and over again.
I thought that it is a great place to play. The 3 nines help to keep the pace very positive.
Great Course
Course was in excellent shape, I played the lakes 9 and the Oakes 9. Definitely go back again
Excellent winter rates
Excellent rates for winter. Course was in good shape. Pace was awesome. Lots of 4somes, but still finished all 18 in about 4 hrs.
Nice course
Sandpiper first time that I played here in the morning. The pace was a bit slow but conditions were very nice. Recent over seeding so course was a bit wet
They have 3 new me hole courses. We played. Lakes. And. Palms. Greens and fairways were in great condition. Except where previous hurricane damage has not yet been repaired
The bag grip loosened. On the cart and I broke my ball retriever on the first hole.
Could only play 9 holes due to an incident made Walter the manager at the course aware of that
Played the Oaks course yesterday. This course is essentially a big weed patch, with shaggy greens. It is a last choice for us to play.
Very disappointed
All was going well till we got to Par 3 tee on the lakes course, As we were preparing to tee off suddenly a tractor drove in front of the green and started mowing the area surrounding the green. This wet on for about 10 minutes, Destroyed the speed of play and ruined what should have been a decent round of golf. After we finished the hole we spoke to the operator and realized he didn't speak any English. Never the less he should be trained in golf courtesy. When we left the green the operator continued to mow around the green forcing the group behind us to skip the hole. After completing the round we complained to the golf shop attendant and really got no satisfaction. My golf partner refuses to play the Sandpiper golf course again.
Wonderful!
Had wonderful time on a great golf course. Always enjoy playing Sandpiper. Some holes are easier than others, but the greens are always fast and there are no easy putts, and plenty of sand and water too. Great time!
close to home
We played the Palms and Lakes course, we prefer the Palms and Oaks.
Great Course
Enjoyed playing this course again. Greens were in good condition and pace was quick. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Replayed course on 11/13 w/ buddy. Lakes nine is very wet & soggy. So wet, fire ants are up all over the place trying to stay dry. Palms nine was drier. Greens on both nines are in good shape, rolling true & fairly fast. The fairways & roughs however have a lot of small leaf weeds. All in all course has nice design. Carts are battery powered & old, with the rain covers in back falling apart.
