Don't Waste Your Time.....or Money
I have played this course before and enjoyed the layout and conditions. But my recent round was one of my WORST Golf experiences ever. After playing behind a slow foursome for 9 holes we asked to play through on 10 as there were now 2 holes open in front of them and called the pro shop for a marshall. One didn't show up until our 14th hole after 3 additional calls. Once we passed the slow group we made up for lost time because there was no one in front of us. We asked to speak to the pro and he could care less about our complaints that they didn't properly manage pace of play. He told us we should be complaining because we finished in 4:30 on a busy Friday. It took so us almost 4 hours just to play 14 holes. We played the last 5 holes on only 40 minutes. (2 par 3's I ncluded). He offered no explanation nor apologies for their lack of management of pace of play. I olay a lot of golf and understand that sometimes it's slow when the course is packed or conditions are tough. To to have one group slow the entire course on a prime Friday without any marshalls on the course is unacceptable. Needless to say I won't and you shouldn't waste your time playing at a course that doesn't value your time.
Where are Ambassadors?
Played on a Tuesday-3 hour front nine!!! Ambassadors just rode by and waved did nothing about pace of play-Posted pace of play in pro shop is 4 hours 20 minutes-didn't know they meant for 9!!!! Was thinking about joining until this debacle-Another mismanaged American Golf venture.
OK, just OK
good greens, course is beat up, no watering! No GPS on carts, 150 markers only
decent track
Only complaint is there are a couple of holes (9 red, 2 white) where there is trouble in the middle of the fairway (creek, and sunken waste area, respectively) that you can't see off the tee. If you haven't played here before, you'll want to buy the ydg book so you can see that stuff before you blow a brand new ProV1 down the middle of the fairway only to never find it. There are more than a few other holes that take driver out of your hand, which I don't mind as long as I know what I"m looking at off the tee.
Greens were in great shape and rest of the course coming along nicely. A few elevated tee shots which are fun, but make sure you judge your carry.
Staff could not have been more top notch, accommodating and nice.
fast greens and slow play
Despite still showing holes from aeration the greens were very fast. The pace of play for a Monday afternoon was close to five hours. Layout was interesting. Course was decent shape for spring time and Bermuda still a little dormant.
Chris Chandler I Found Your Ball Hiding From You!
Found Chris Chandler B330 golf ball at the Par 3 over water, in the water(his ball personalized I'M Not Loss Just Hiding From Chris Chandler). Oh yea, why I'm here, great course, greens are awesome, and you better bring your A game. Not a long course, do not try to over power it; if you miss long hitters you will pay for off target shots. I was lucky enough to play with a few locals that plays each Tuesday and their course knowledge was helpful. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the fun. Sharpen your games, head out for a great test of golf and I'm very sure you will enjoy.
Challenging but fair
Aside from green approach areas covered in long heavy clumps of long grasses making minor mistakes catastrophic, the course offered great layout and views. Bunkers need help. Mud not sand.
Great value for a fun course!
Before the GolfNow app I had never heard of the course but booked it on a weekday afternoon. This course is a great value and I really enjoyed the round. Greens were in great shape. I look forward to visiting again once the Spring allows the rest of the grass to green.
Great for $10!!
Greens are fast with challenging undulations. You have to enjoy a course lined with house after house after house. Bunkers are very thin on the sand and there are lot's of rocks to hope you don't hit in them. Once the leaves are on the trees and the fairways green up it should be a lot prettier. I'll give it a Summer time try IF the deal is right.
Great course
This is one of the best public courses in Atlanta. The only thing I would complain about is the sandy greens on the white nine. Otherwise, this course is a must play for golfers in Atlanta.
Great to get out and play golf again with my two sons
Because of all the heavy rain lately the course was very wet and muddy. Had to keep cart on cart path resulting in slow play time for everyone. This is very unusual for this course. Hopefully the weather will improve so it can dry out. Regardless, we enjoyed the day and the friendliness of the staff. I still highly recommend this course.
Rainy day
Course was wet but still enjoyed the round. Will try again when it gets dry.
Nice Track
Lots of elevation changes but very fair. Advantage would be to play with a local! I'm from Florida and this nine was fun to play even though my score suffered.
Decent course for the money
Course was in good condition. Not too hard but not too easy. Greens were slow but it was wet that day. Only issues are lack of signage to direct new comers. There are 3 nines and I stared on white course but at hole 4 I ended up on red course still don't know how. Many forks in cart paths with no signage. Also doesn't help that there are hole overviews on scorecard or tee boxes. Some blinds shots that I didn't know which way to aim. But overall a good course for the money. Some nice elevations and views.
Good course for the money
We had an enjoyable round. The course is just challenging enough. It was in good shape and played well.
Nice changes
I played on a Monday morning and the parking lot was FULL. No tournament going on or anything. I was amazed at how good the greens were. I mean outstanding!! Best greens I've played all year and I've played everywhere. I've never really cared for the layout of Bradshaw, but those greens are tour caliber. They hardly leave a ball mark and are lightning fast. Definitely take 5 minutes to practice putt if you are used to average speed greens. If some of my favorite courses had greens like these I would have to book ahead at least a week.
A Nice Experience
We had a tee time at 12:40 and the weather was nice. The course was in good condition and the greens were firm.
The bonus was that the cart girl Heatger was seen frequently. Most times you're lucky if you ever see one at all. She said she'd be out until 7:00.
All courses should follow their lead.
Great Course
Great course no rush only negative was no cart girl...
Great Deal
Course in very good codition. Greens excellent and very fast. My friend and I teed off at 12:44 and finished at 3:55! Hot deal rate only $27. Monday best day to play.
