Eagle Ridge Golf Club

The last few Monday's that I have gone out have taken more than 4.5 hrs for just 2 players. There is no course marshal to keep the pace of play steady. Have waited behind a group of 2 who was behind a group of 3, The threesome was severely delaying the round for no obvious reason.

They were hitting from the Yellow tee, the twosome ahead played form white, and my twosome played form blue. My group teed off 20 minutes after the twosome ahead of us and we didn't even see them for the first 8 holes. The on the 9th, we hit the wall. We ended up waiting 10-15 minutes per shot from the 9th hole to the 18th.

Needless to say, neither my group nor the twosome ahead of us was happy. Sadly, the twosome ahead didn't invite us to join them so we ended up watching every one of their tee shots form the 10th hole on.

Whatever happened to course courtesy and marshalling?

We played on Feb so the grass was brown and the fairways firm. Lots of blind hazards. It would be nice at the tee box if they could indicate how far the first hazard was (creek). Not a good course for a high handicapper if you want to build any confidence but otherwise a very fine course.

Course is running fast with the grass being dormant. Greens are in perfect shape and my biggest thing is that the bunkers be in good shape and they are better than good. The staff is awesome and the value for what you get is phenomenal.

Nice front nine. Back 9 with some strange holes. Local knowledge is key. As a female golfer, I had several uphill tee shots and the long par 3 (?16) was too long. I had to hit driver! I am not a long hitter, but that is a first time I needed driver on a par 3!

Course conditions are great and pace of play was under 4 hours on a holiday (New Year Day). Overall enjoyable and great value.

Eagle ridge is a fun course with a variety of holes and strategies that can be played. With 5-par5s, 6-par3s and 7-par4s gives all players ways to score but the course can bite back sometimes too. I always enjoy playing ER, it’s a goodern. 😁

I’ve been playing this course for 20 years and have always liked the layout. However, recently the rough has become way, way too long. I don’t know if this is a budget issue, but there is way too much time spent looking for balls in the rough. Obviously this slows the pace of play down and upsets everyone in the group. WE ARE RECREATIONAL GOLFERS! THIS IS NOT THE U. S. OPEN! GIVE US A BREAK AND CUT THE ROUGH LOWER!

Bartender was not the friendliest. Had a poor attitude. We bought hot dogs at the turn and realized on hole number 12 when we were going to eat them that they were cold . Course was in great shape !

First time playing here. Was greeted at the pro shop. Very friendly folks.

The course is very challenging for a senior mid capper from the white tees. A few hidden hazards and long forced carries, but I did just all things considered. The greens are in great shape!

This is a well maintained, challenging course specially the back 9.

Pace of play was extremely slow. 3 groups in front of us were so slow and the mix of walkers and riders was terrible. You can’t put 2 groups of walkers mixed in with riders. Pace of play was awful and sat around all day waiting. Tee time was 2:40. Didn’t finish until 7:00 and it was too dark to finish the last hole. This is coming from a 8 handicap player
