Golfer Reviews
No tee boxes
Unbelievable how they can still be open during this renovation. Plus I play there a lot and they told me it wasn’t bad. Absolutely horrible. And for 40$. That is crazy. I wish I could get my money back. Don’t play for a few months there. Worst experience I’ve had in a white.
No warning
The course is on a long journey of improvement. When they will get there,IDK.
9 holes of tee boxes are on major revamp and the forward placement of tees are ill placed and cuts off major Yardage from the course. With a bridge they have crossing to the 12th green, closes the 12th hole, you basically have 8 of 18 holes of normal holes.
Need to Wait a Few Months
I have played the Champ Course for years and always liked the tough layout. Conditions were never that good but it looks like some improvements are in the works. I was surprised to find out that the signature hole (#12) has been closed for months to install a new bridge and about half of the tee boxes were closed and getting ready for new sod. It should be a great place to play once the grass has filled in. Stay away until the winter season. Hopefully they will get it done in time. It really needed it.
SLOW and tee boxes being redone
When a group of 2 sits behind a group of 8 for 2 1/2 hours on the back nine its alittle frustrating. They’re redoing the Tee boxes and hole 12 was unplayable so not what the course should be.
Horrible Conditions
Do not play this course now. They are redoing every tee on the front 9 and ignorning everything on the front. COURSE SHOULD BE CLOSED DURING CONSTRUCTION
Course under improvements
All the greens had aeration holes and made putting very difficult. Most of the Tee boxes were all dug up and had temporary area with all: Blue, white, yellow and ted bunched together. The entire 12th hole was completely closed. The discount we received was a Golfnow discount and not due to the course condition. We were all very disappointed.
Quality sub par
Staff were friendly and helpful. Water source on course was not working but staff brought water to us for free. There is no beverage cart. Tee boxes were in terrible shape, uneven and mostly sand. Greens were poor condition. There are better courses in the area for equal or less money.
Tees, fairways, rough, green
Tees need major work
Fairways are in very good condition
Greens are good +
Roof is in need of attention, very Sandy weedy and dry
Overall pretty good, with a few issues.
If your signature hole is closed, it would be nice to know.
The tee boxes could use a little work.
The greens were fuzzy.
price higher because conditions
greens aerated and wasn't told at time of booking
one hole we weren't allowed to play because of bridge repair, which should have lowered the cost for play.
no communication was given about that issue either
workers were very nice, especially patty inside shop
car guy really nice.
pace was good
Course has a hole under construction
The course has a hole under construction. Golfers have a long detour around #12 creating a jam. The greens were recently aerated.
Could see how it USED to be a top 50 course.
I liked the course layout, lots of doglegs, so you had to hit different shots or always be down the middle. But really the only redeeming qualities were the greens and the “deal” price I paid. Greens held nicely and putted well. But the rest of the course is in need of help - fairways were just OK, tee boxes were hard to get a tee in the ground, but worst of all were the bunkers - full of rocks and more dirt than trap sand. I clicked would recommend to a friend based only on the low price I paid.
Great Time
Had a great time playing this course. Staff was super friendly
