Devlin and VonHagge designed this course, which challenges even experienced golfers. It has been rated by Golf Digest to be among the 50 top courses in the United States. The signature hole on the Championship Course is #12, a 452-yard, par 4, requiring a tee shot through a cypress forest to an island green.
This 7,258 yards, par 71 course has narrow fairways, a deep rough as well as plenty of water and bunkers. Enjoy the fast greens and the excitement of knowing you're on one of the best.

Great value, really good course.
The course was in good shape with a good layout. Challenging. The front nine was a great pace of play. The back nine, well, you might as well have taken a nap. So frustrating. No rangers to be found. They get you on the course but then, forget about you. Too bad because it is a good course. The golf pro and grounds crew superintendent should take more pride in this course and the pace of play. It appears those two have mailed it in.

6 set of tees. yiu can ply 5800 up to 7000 yards course based on the tees you play.

The pace of play was great on the front nine. Back nine,.....I might as well taken a nap. No rangers to push the groups along. Worse than watching paint dry.
The course is challenging & the Rangers keep the pace of play moving. We played in 4 hours & ten minutes, good time fir a public course
Greens are a bit slow but you get accustomed to it
The fairways in decent shape. Overall, an enjoyable round

Great layout. Fabulous greens. Fairways need a little work but can find plenty if good spots to hug from. Greens read true to appearance. Made many nice puts to par a bunch of holes.. great layout and played senior gold tees. Highly recommend.

Colony Championship is Fair
This is not a course I will play again unless the put some money into it. There are other courses in the area more reasonably priced, and way nicer courses. The course does have it challenges - but they do not move players along and pace of play was very slow.
