Cypress at Woodmont Country Club
About
The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

Great course
Wonderful course, the staff was amazing and the layout was beautiful. Highly recommend.
Hidden gem
1st time playing Woodmont CC & wasn't disappointed once I found it.
The course & area is undergoing some construction and the entrance is not easily visible.
Once there the Staff was very hospitable & friendly.
There is NO Practice Range, but there is a chipping & putting area close to the 1st tee.
The course had lots of variety, mounding, bunkers, water, & very good fairways and greens. Played with a Mom & son from Canada who knew the course which helped me tremendously.
I will go back next year for sure
1st time @ Woodmont
1st time I have played Woodmont Country Club. Overall course conditions were good. So many courses in the area are extremely dry & have bare patches in either fairways, greens or both. Tee boxes, fairways & greens were in good shape.
Due to ongoing residential development, no driving range. Just a pitching and putting area. Some cart paths are in rough shape as a result also.
The starter our day was a bit less than friendly but kept golfers on time.
Pace of play was good. We teed off at 11:36am and finished in just over 4 hours even though course was busy.
Grabbed a sandwich @ the turn & was quite slow.
I recommend course & would play again.
We played the pines
Play the back nine Cypress which was very nice and then the front nine at the pines which was under construction
Wait
Had to wait over a half hour after tee time because there were no carts available at our tee time.
Then had argument with another group on the first tee. They said we were jumping in front of them. We were told to go to first tee by starter. This incident became heated. Yelling, screaming and threatening punches. Staff was called and straightened out situation.
Overall great experience.
Overall great experience, staff at the place is probably the friendliest I’ve seen at any golf course in south Florida(starter saw us pull into the parking lot and brought us a golf cart so we wouldn’t have to walk with our bags over to the front of the club house). The place has no driving range, but it does have a decent chipping/putting practice greens in the front. The greens are pretty fast, no divots in them whatsoever Between holes 4 & 10 there’s some construction going on but it doesn’t interfere with gameplay. Only downfall of the game was the pace of the course due to having some old-timers in front of us that were more focused on smoking a cigar then hitting under par in a timely fashion. Will definitely be taking some friends to this course in a next week or so.
Nice course, first time driving my cart on 4 lane road to get to next tee!
Apparently they sold one of the 3 nines and to make it work, you have to literaly drive your cart down a 4 lane road, not a sidewal or cart path and i dont mean cross, i mean you drive alongside cars to get to some tees. It was pretty funny actually. the course itself is nice, the cartpaths are a mess, I'm sure eventually they will fix them. We enjoyed our time and I booked a followup round the next day, so that tells you it was a good experience.
