The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

beautiful course
Haven't played Woodmont in a few years, but the two Cypress courses are a good test of golf. Greens were large and undulating...and pretty fast. Back nine was definitely tougher than the front.

Nice course, good value; had a group in front of us that thought a was the Master's. Slow group...

Woodmont! No rules just wrong
With twenty seven holes and two courses the staff needs to control where golfers play. Today my threesome was confronted with 8 players on hole 8 of Cypress when they had not been visible for the first 7 holes.
Kid walked over and said they were directed to that side by staff. Unfair and foul. It caused pro tournament like delays for two holes and a feeling of a free for all.
No good today.
If they staff someone at the corner of the two courses, Somehow this can be controlled.
Proper teess lay out for all ages and handicaps
Lots of off course construction near the 1st and tenth tee with a lot of blowing dirt. Besides that it it was a great day of golf
Good Challenge
My wife and I really enjoy this course. Narrow tree lined tee boxes makes it pretty challenging. I had to strategize a half a dozen holes. Greens are firm and relatively fast.
Good, challenging layout and greens ran true and faster than average. Enjoyable and a good value for the money compared to other high priced choices, it was a good, solid option. Would play again for sure.
Very Slow Play
Nearly 5 hour round of golf. Was some sort of Jr tournament prior. They should have allowed for slower pace of walkers for the tournament for tee times afterwards. At one point (the first par 3) there were 3 groups waiting at the tee and one on the green. That should never happen. One of the groups quit. Never saw a ranger...anywhere. As for the course, the layouts fine, tees and fairways were in decent condition. Tee boxes all looked like they needed reseeded. If I hadn't pre-paid, I would have left the course. Won't play again.
We had to wait on every hole....unfortunately the playing time was very long...
Good layout
Good Florida course in good condition. We enjoyed playing. Greens played well. Will go back!
