The Cypress Course at Woodmont Country Club in Tamarac is named after the mature trees that line the fairways and frame the views from the elevated tees. The course measures 7,043 yards and features undulating greens that are a challenge too with carefully shaped contours that are subtle but tricky. It is a golf course that requires not only distance, but also accuracy and a good course management.

Back nine is in poor shape. Greens, tees are full of weeds.
Wait after next rain for better conditions
Staff verry frindly and helpfull. Played on Cypress course.
Tee boxes are in better condition than the greens!
Greens are large with a bit of challenge but grass burned by lack of water.
For now doesnt worth $90
Great round of golf
Enjoy Woodmont every time. Friendly staff, decently maintained. Had a fun round.
Did not improve
I played this course a few weeks ago or so and I believe I gave it a fairly good rating because it seemed they were making efforts to improve it but it has unfortunately gotten worse. Looks like they plan on renovating back nine this summer but they need to once again work on the front nine again while renovating the back. Staff is great and pace was incredible and it has a good layout but conditions for the money even discounted simply means I cannot suggest it at this time.
Good course
This course is great. Staff were all incredibly friendly. They have clearly been putting in some work on it. The front 9 greens have been redone. They have plans to redo the back as well. They play at markedly different speeds (back is much faster). The layout is excellent. With a little more work, this course will be top notch. We played it twice in a recent trip.
Course has declined considerably
I used to play this course a lot because it's right down the street from my house. Unfortunately, conditions have declined considerably. Dirt patches and grass missing on the greens, augustine grass patches on the greens. Tee boxes in bad shape. Played Cypress back Pines front, the driving distance between some holes is ridiculous and time consuming. Disappointed to say the least. Is now on my list of "do not play"
Thank you for your feedback about our course. We are sorry to hear we didn't meet your expectations and hope you will rejoin us in the future. We are currently in the middle of a 3 year renovation process were we are redoing 9 holes per summer. The front 9 of the cypress course was the one redone last summer and unfortunately is the one you didn't play. We will be renovating the back 9 of the cypress course this summer and will re-open it in the fall with brand new greens, tees and bunkers. We appreciate your patience and look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future.
Good + Golf
Fairways quite good , new green surrounds on front nine are very good. Greens quite smooth and fast, but grass is spotty. Fair and moderately difficult layout.
Greens were not good
I have played Woodmont many times. First time I have played with the greens having little to no grass. So when putting it was smooth but very quick and not fair. I enjoy playing here. But if the greens are so poor they should drop the price by half and also advise about it
Soso and slow
There is no one to check the parce of play. It took 5 hors which is way too long
Nice layout greens ok but won’t be soon unless they take care of it. Tee boxes need watering.
Good experience
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Course had a good layout. No driving range. I would recommend for a good course without spending a lot of cash to play.

Super friendly staff, nice restaurant. Course still needs a little TLC, but played fairly and challenging at the same time.

We are sorry to hear that the golf course wasn't in the condition you expected. As the signs around the clubhouse note we are only a few weeks away from closing the back 9 of the cypress course for renovations. Starting May 5th we will begin the work on the back 9 putting in brand new greens, tees and bunkers that will be back up and available in the fall.
