Wentworth Golf Club is routed through a scenic and varied landscape of woods and wetlands. At 6,459 yards, the golf course is relatively short but it offers a demanding, target-style layout. The course has narrow fairways and small greens that run fast. The front nine is routed through towering stands of cypress trees, pines, and mature oaks while the back nine has a more links-style layout that will test your shot-making skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the far more prominent features of the course are the massive bunkers that lurk beside the fairways and greens, ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. Careful strategy is required throughout the course in order to avoid losing balls. In addition to the challenging layout, Wentworth G.C. boasts superb conditions that are considered some of the area's best.

Worst Condition

Greens were good, bunkers hard with little definition, very little grass in the fairways. I have played here numerous times over the past 12 years and this is the worst condition I have seen the fairways in.

Rough conditions

Conditions on this course are pretty rough. Lack of grass on fairways and tee boxes. Worth the price if you get a hot deal or don't worry about the conditions.

Nice course!

Wentworth is a nice course and definitely worth playing. There has been some negative reviews about the fairways, but overall it is in decent shape. The greens were some of best around in this area. The layout is really fun. Lots of doglegs and risk and reward shots. They just got new owners and they are committed to really improving the course. I’ll definitely go back soon.

Used to be a nice course

Not sure what happened to Wentworth. It used to be such a nice course and well maintained. Not anymore. The course is in bad condition, the fairways are patched and the course looks like it’s not been watered at all. They seem to be putting up guard rails. I suggest they spend the money fixing the fairways.

Odd Course

Played Wentworth for the first time this past weekend. Very odd experience. I was expecting the course to be very well taken care of given the gated community it is in and the overall facilities being incredibly nice. The course was mixed. The greens were outstanding, you can tell this is where they put most of their maintenance focus. The Tee boxes and fairways were not in the best shape. A headscratcher for me is their driving range. It’s right in the middle of two holes. No nets to stop the balls on either side. If you are playing either of these holes, you’re likely going to find range balls all over the rough and edge of the fairway. Staff was fantastic. Overall, the price point doesn’t make playing this course worth it unless you get a hot deal.
