Wentworth Golf Club

course has very many bunkers, fairway and greenside.yet none were playable due to not being raked. i just dropped my ball in a clean spot, and that was even hard to find. teeboxes were good from the tips, fairways were a little thin and greens were good but very slow. my group couldnt get used to the speed.

Course was in better condition than I expected with very little rain

They have a new greens keeper and it shows it will be a while until all the greens are in a perfect condition, they are looking good already still need some tlc

Greens were extremely slow and contained many damaged, or patchy areas.

Greens are slow and in terrible shape. Fairways are a mix of different grasses and weeds. Bunkers are in rough shape. It been mostly like this since last year. There were a couple months earlier this year where it looked like it was improving, but that was short-lived. Anything over $30 is not worth it for this course.

The design and layout of this course is absolutely brilliant! Most holes have a nice little challenge but aren’t too difficult. BUT, this course is currently a disaster, it literally looks like they fired everyone besides the bartender who has an attitude herself. The few guys that work in the shop are super rude. Pretty positive a there isn’t a maintenance team anymore. They attempted to “punch” the greens, but they just dumped about 2in thick of pure sand all over. I was told over the phone that they are leaving GolfNow and will be tripling prices because $20 is too cheap to play their course! I wouldn’t play this course again even if they paid me. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE !

This course has an awesome layout . The maintenance on this course is awful . It used to be so nice! Grass in bunkers , minimal sand . Greens just aerated but many dead patches and too much sand on greens .. rough wasn’t mowed . This course needs new ownership, management or both ..

This course has a nice design to it but the course needs some up keep. It is like they don’t have any maintenance people up keeping and if they do they really don’t care about there job. But at the end of the day the course is a little on the cheaper side which might be some of the reason but they still could fix the greens and I know the rough is not supposed to be easy to play in but the grass in the rough is over a foot tall

This course could be incredible. Surrounded by old trees, beautiful homes, with a nice clubhouse, it is just a shame what this course has become.

I've heard stories of what it was like 20 years ago, and I wish I could have experienced it then. The layout was very interesting, with tight tree lined fairways, and complex greens, but that's where the complements have to end.

The fairways were mediocre, with the rough leaking into the fairways. It looks like the rough wasn't mowed in months, losing balls feet off the fairway.

The practice putting green got me excited, very pure, however, it was very slow. Sadly, that trend did not carry on the course. Greens were riddled with large dirt patches, which made putting nearly impossible, unless your line avoided the dirt,

The sand traps were good. Only half of them seemed to be upkept in terms of raking, and all of them looked like they had not been edged with a string trimmer in years, but the sand seemed recent, and was ok to hit out of.

I played this course because of a coupon that allowed me to play for $20, it was about what it would be worth. Sadly, I'm not sure how they can make the course better without charging more than what its worth, but at the same time, $50 is hard to swallow for what your getting.

I hear the course has changed owners recently, and I applaud them for taking on the challenge. If this course can go back to how it once was, it will be a treat for everyone in the county, but they have a long road ahead.

Overall, greens were terrible - lots of bare spots. Fairways were ok in some places but bare in a lot of approaches to green. Rough varied in length throughout the course.

I expected more from Wentworth, was disappointed. I heard from other golfers that Wentworth was undergoing an Admin change.

I do not plan on playing here again anytime soon.

Looks like this course is using the recent hurricane as an excuse to not cut the grass ANYWHERE on this course. A lot of guts charging $45 for a course in this condition,

for whatever the reason, wentworth has gone down hill. but for $17 it's doable.

We have played this course dozens of times since they opened. We have seen the course conditions go up and down. The layout is great and many challenging holes. There is a small driving range, a chipping area and putting green, making for a good warm up.

We found the golf pro who was working at the front desk to lack any customer service skills and has his own knack for being rude and non-caring. He should not interact with the customers with his attitude. We will not be going back for this reason. There are too many other courses where they value their customers, not talk down to them.
