Greens are in great condition as well as tee boxes. Fairways could use some work in certainl areas but otherwise course is in good shape.

I should have heeded the negative reviews but we wanted a warm up round after traveling and the most recent reviews said the rain was helping. The only thing that will help this course is an infusion of money, expert care and time.

Positives: friendly staff, decent (very slow) greens

Negatives: everything else. Poor, uneven tee boxes. Dirt fairways (see pictures).Tree roots in bunkers.

I wish them luck but even half off a Hot Deal would not get me back there.

Help Wanted...Please! WOW, where to start. This track is the definition of missed opportunity. What a great piece of land. One of the best tracks of land I have seen in my five years living here. But truthfully the course condition was brutal. Greens were fine for the most part we saw 1 bad green #4 I believe. As for the course condition. Two things all golf courses need. Grass and a lawnmower. It look like they had tried to set the course up for the U.S. Open. No grass where you wanted it and foot high weeds where you didn't. The only bunkers that had seen a rake was on hole #9. And yes each cart had rakes on them, but wasn't nobody using them. Hardpan abound! It looked like the course had been sold. With the right ownership this place could be one of West Florida's top tracks. And yes I did read the reviews before playing and yes the article about the battle over the private vs. public split. All I say is this place has so much potential and so underwhelming.

This course is a 2/5 on its best day. The only thing that’s been maintained are the greens. I would recommend they blow the cut grass off the greens though. For the price it’s not a terrible play. The range is in the middle of holes 9-10 and is 50 yards wide, not much of a practice facility, small putting green. It really is a shame though, the layout is good and is fun. They really need someone to invest in this course, it could be so much better.

Played as a single, teed off at 150p was back in my car at 400p. Greens are in great condition, fairways are tight and in ok condition, been getting some heavy summer rains so a bounce back probably not to far away, tee boxes were fine too. Friendly staff in the club house too.

Course has some rough spots but if you roll the ball it is fine. Back nine layout is shortish but tight with some demanding shots required. Overall, this is a better value than some recent reviews suggest.

I have a family member who lives on the course so I see the course daily when I visit. Many of the tees have little to no grass. Many of the greens have large areas of dead or little grass. The golf carts are old and worn down. The staff did say they have new ones on order. Weeds have taken over many of the fairways. The cart bridge from 14 to 15 is falling apart. Staff was very nice. Pub prices reasonable and food was good.

Made the trip to Wentworth this week and like most other area courses, it needs rain badly! The greens are hanging in there (great shape really) but the rest of the course is drying up. If I had one wish it would be for a few thunderstorms over the next several days. I always enjoy visiting with the staff and the food is pretty good so be sure to grab something while you're there. This is a great course in need of some TLC from mother nature - still worth playing though at summer rates!

No idea how the ratings I have just read would give this course a 3 star rating. The staff of 1 person was very nice and helpful. The course is barely playable as dried out and more dirt that grass. Tee boxes not good. Tough to hit fairway shots on dirt.

We are guessing it would take easily $1million to get the course back to a playable condition. Will not be back to find out. As will other courses in the Tampa Bay area it appears that the owner may be planning to sell the land to a developer.

Love the course layout. Greens consistent though slow. Tee boxes uneven and fairways with many bare areas. Fair value though.

I realize we have not gotten a lot of rain but the t boxes, fairways and greens were in bad shape, worst I have seen it. They also had the spriklers on while we were playing and they said there was nothing they could do that they were on a timer. I like the course layout and the wilderness of half the holes but they have been letting it go to to the dogs.

The greens are finally good, but the rest of the course is in terrible shape. I play this course the most and it is sad how bad the tee boxes and fairways have become. Hitting the fairway should be a benefit, but typically it’s just sand under the ball. I love the difficulty of this course and will still play here, but please management fix the problems. It’s become really bad.
