About
Wentworth Golf Club is routed through a scenic and varied landscape of woods and wetlands. At 6,459 yards, the golf course is relatively short but it offers a demanding, target-style layout. The course has narrow fairways and small greens that run fast. The front nine is routed through towering stands of cypress trees, pines, and mature oaks while the back nine has a more links-style layout that will test your shot-making skills. Water hazards come into play on several holes but the far more prominent features of the course are the massive bunkers that lurk beside the fairways and greens, ready to swallow even slightly errant shots. Careful strategy is required throughout the course in order to avoid losing balls. In addition to the challenging layout, Wentworth G.C. boasts superb conditions that are considered some of the area's best.

Challenging course in need of rain!
Many of the courses in the Tampa Bay area are struggling with drought - Wentworth is no exception! Was hard to see the course in this condition as we try to play it a few times per month. Greens are still in great shape but the fairways and bunkers are showing their wear and tear. Sadly, the lakes are also drying up (great if you're looking for balls). Nevertheless, some rain will bring this course back up to speed (let's hope we get some soon)! Great staff and food as always - WILL BE BACK SOON!

Sand Traps Galore
Not an easy course, but i love a challenge. Highly recommend it

Fun challenging course
This is a tough course but was lots of fun to play. Given other courses in the area, the value felt about right for the price ($60 for my round). A couple of areas weren’t great (bunkers were very heavy and rough around the edges, some tee boxes needed a lot of work), but the greens and fairways were in very good shape. Pace of play was okay (4.5 hours for the round). Not super long waits, but we were regularly waiting a couple of minutes on tee boxes.

pitiful!
first off,paired an average player with another average player was fine,but then pairing us up with two absolute beginners about 15-17 years old.a couple of miserable holes,one of them actually hit me with an errant shot.i had had enough at this point,so i insisted we break off from those two.best for all.then once settling in,realized that there was more sand here than clearwater beach.fairways were in horrible shape,and with all that sand,very few bunkers were raked,alot of rocks as well.will not play there again,

Wentworth needs help
This course which was private a long time ago needs some serious help. The bones are there to make it a great course again but currently the fairways & all bunkers were in very poor shape. The pace of play was a 5 hour round. Range exists but in very bad shape. Best thing about the course was friendly staff and english style pub/bar. Nice looking interior of clubhouse. Would not play this again unless there is a course remodel.
