Escena Golf Club

We teed off at 9 am and it took 3 of us 2 1/2 hours to play the front nine........we were waiting every shot and we never saw a Marshall. It should never take that long to play a nine that early in the morning. Our back nine took a little over 2 hours....an acceptable speed. This was at Escena in Palm Springs

This is one of the premeir courses in the valley. However without some sort of price adjustment it is too expensive to play more than once or twice therefore it is appreciated when GolfNow get some hot deals at the course. Thanks again.

Took almost 5 hours to play. Saw water jug person who said he would contact marshal on hole 10. Never saw any marshal.

We play this course every year on our vacation. Wonderful layout and always in great condition in the spring when we are in the desert. We play early., so the pace of play is always 4 hours or less! Yes

Would recommend it but——-

1 pace of play was very slow- 4:45 for the round and we had to wait on almost every shot. The marshal said the course was jammed, probably because the policy is to get as many rounds in as possible in the shortest time.

2 This course was not designed for the average golfer. Even from the middle ‘Teal’ tees playing 6100 yards it was

really very tough and almost unfair. While it had mostly short par fives, the risk for getting to the green in two was too great.. Only one par three was for a mid iron while all the others were very long with too many obstacles around them. The par fours were mostly fair and reachable in two, but a couple were ‘lay up’ holes for the second shot .

3 The bunkers were hard with too many rocks in them ( Thank goodness for the new rule allowing removal of them, but that takes time)

Overall the course was in good condition but the greens, while being true, were hard and it was tough to stop the ball from the fairway.The fairways were generously wide and quite firm allowing some decent distance off the tee, but there were always bunkers to avoid. Water features were very aesthetic and located fairly around the course.

Do not expect to enjoy this course unless you are really up for a challenge and you are on your A game, and do not expect to play quickly.

I love everything about Escena! The people are great: shout out to Nancy, Tammy, and Rich!

The course is beautiful, and really has everything I look for in a golf course. It's challenging enough, but pretty user friendly with wide fairways as well, which makes the course suitable for players of all skill levels.

The conditions last week were absolutely immaculate, too!

I can't wait to play Escena again!

Oh, and the bar and restaurant are awesome, too!

We had a very good time today. The front nine played in 2:10 but the back slowed quite a bit. Not sure why this happened, but we did finish in 4:30.

Really enjoyed playing this course. A must play if you are in the area. Course was in great shape with lots of challenges for all skill levels.

A nice couse that could be above average if fairways were not cut so low in most areas. They are also building houses too close to the course that are now coming into play.. Overall the pace was a little slow and we did not see a course Marshall the whole round..

The dining area on the patio offers excellent views of the mountains to the west.

Due to the fact I was oversearved the night before I did not not have much in the tank the staff a one mrs berry in golf shop was amazing course is awesome but I never made it to the back nine maybe next year cheers
