Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club
About
Opened in 1922, Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Tampa Bay area. In fact, it's the only 18-hole golf course in Florida that's listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It's the centerpiece of the Temple Terrace community and it's much loved by locals. At 6,443 yards from the back tees, the golf course is short by modern standards but what it lacks in length it makes up for in other challenges. The layout has a traditional design with small greens and tree-lined fairways that demand accuracy. Several strategically positioned bunkers also come into play along the greens. There are some tight spots and a fair amount of tricky holes, but overall Temple Terrace is player friendly enough for all skill levels.

Love the course
The enjoy playing here. Pace is always good and the staff is always very friendly.
Good course
The course was in pretty good shape. Pace was good. I would recommend it.
Great historic course
First time playing with my kids, we had a great time playing this historic course. Will definitely be back
A Course Not to Overlook
The second oldest track in Hillsborough county provides lots of character and challenge. Many of par fours require a left to right shot off the tee. Each of the 4 par three holes are lengthy and need a mid to longer iron to reach the putting surface. Most bunkers were in decent shape, though there were some ungroomed on the morning of our play. Several of the grens showed pock marks and took a putt off line. Speeds were a bit inconsistent which made finding the gain even more important.
Decent overall
Course was laid out nicely. Small issues here and there that could be resolved easily.
First was very little signage or hole markings.
On the 7th tee box there was a member hitting iron shots into the middle of the fairway like it was a driving range. Hit my drive to the middle of the fairway and had to sift through all of his range balls to find my tee shot. Not a good look.
Couple of burnt spots on a few greens (to be expected, it’s Florida in December).
Decent overall for the price. Probably more of a 40-50 dollar round than a 80 dollar round.
Will be back if I find Hot Deals for the course.
Overpriced, poor condition
If a course is in poor condition, that’s fine. I understand the funding may not be there etc. But don’t charge me 50$ on a hot deal (hate to see what the normal rate runs?!?! yikes) and then be a goat ranch. The greens by and large were in very poor condition. Bumpy, patchy, not true. This is a 25$ course at best, will not be back anytime soon. Very tight too, I have to imagine cars and houses get dinged up often here.
Not that great-Not at all worth the money…
The layout was a nice old school style course. The greens were in poor shape. Too bumpy with dead spots all over throughout the whole green -not just in 1spot… it made putting the ball unfair.
Too expensive for the course conditions which would take several months to improve.
Would much rather play Rocky Point or Westchase
Wet day with rain, but the greens rolled really well and the fairway was in great shape too. A few weeds/bumps in the greens caused our putts to "wiggle" a bit, but it was a great value round and we will be back again soon!
Old Fl
TT is a great old Florida golf course thru a community. If you spray the ball all over it will be challenging bit there are plenty of mature trees to help stop you golf ball from leaving the course. I grew up in Fl playing courses like rhis so I can appreciate the layout. Greens were in good condition and pace of play wasn't bad for a weekend
Good day of golf
Always wanted to play here but the reviews were terrible. Lately the reviews had gotten better so I decided to give it a shot and I was happy I did. It was a great day of golf. I will definitely be back
