Nice course
Nice course, friendly staff
Groundsmen have this course and in particular the greens in great condition.
Sign posting and directions for tee boxes are minimal and where present confusing on the front 9 for first timers, not a course for beginners, very narrow at times.
Autumn golf has the course covered in leaves, lost balls a plenty.....
Love the course but
Always love to play lucan ...windy enough today causing a few issues ....course again was stunning and challenging ..however the greens were drilled within an inch of their lives ...watching your putt bobble or not take a break sand everywhere ...it was such a pity ....
I will say this has been my first experience like this in lucan normally the greens are the best
Golfers!!!!!
Course is in excellent condition, greens very good. Not too long but plenty of trouble in the trees, nothing sneaky though. Keep straight and you're fine. Staff were very friendly, just the other golfers on the course........ from the 2 ball that demanded to be let through our 4 ball ( even though in front of us was jammed) to the next ones behind us constantly throwingtheir hands in the air and tut tutting at us, again with us being held up by the extremely slow players in front. Perhaps the " members" could take a lesson in hospitality??
Superb greens
Greens are so firm and small suttle breaks in them..I prefer quick greens so these worked out great.. I think the pins are located in tricky spots (competition on maybe) but a good challenge.. there is still a chances to make a low score .. pro shop was so friendly and can't fault them.. they are in the middle of changing a few holes around which can be awkward at the moment but once it's complete it will be alot better so it didn't bother us as you can see the improvement they're putting in to the course..

Excellent condition and a good challenge
Greens excellent. Fairways better than my carpets at home and could see divots filled in with mix. Bunkers nice (saw plenty of them). Played one of the new holes and certainly an improvement. Will be interesting to see how the others are bedded in. Will be back

This course was the best kept course (tee boxes, fairways, bunkers, greens) that I have ever played on. Fantastic condition!
Bad experience
One of the front 9 holes closed & no signage for hole following. Poorly laid out course
Keep it straight
Definitely not the most challenging course but some long holes to make sure your approach play needs to be in good form. The par 5 fifth is tee to green in two shots if you set it up nicely. It’s a course I really enjoyed playing and found relaxing. Not the most technically difficult but tight enough that if you drift wide on either side of your drive you will have some work to do.
The 7th hole was closed and unplayable which was unfortunate but apart from that a great experience.
