Sherwood Golf Club
About
Sherwood Golf Club in Titusville originally opened in 1965 as a nine-hole course. Over the years it has changed ownership and undergone major renovations including the expansion into an 18-hole course. The new 18-hole layout measures 6,274 yards from the back tees. The player-friendly design features forgiving fairways and inviting greens. It's not a terribly formidable golf course but as one of the most affordable rounds in the area, Sherwood is popular among players of all skill levels. There are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways and water also comes into play on a few holes. One of Sherwood Golf Club's most memorable holes his the par-3 11th. This intimidating hole features a semi-island green that has been known to swallow a ball or two.

course improvement
Greens are in excellent shape. Apparent when compared to last year that the course is being maintained better. We ordered food on hole 9 and ready for us at turn. Excellent food. Played several Mondays for all day $19 special. A true value compared to going rate in area.
Course should consider adding another weekday at $19 rate. I think they would make more money.
Nice local option
This course was in decent shape(fairways were mowed, greens weren't deadly slow, the sand was thin and easier to gauge plus there wasn't much rough) and had a nice layout. The boomerang shaped par 5 made me think!
There is a café which I didn't visit but the lounge was a welcome sight!
They charge for ride alongs.
This is the first time I got charged a $15 "ride along charge" for my girl friend with a bad back who can't play, didn't play and just wanted to come along to watch me play and keep me company. I was very displeased with their $15 ride along fee, and from now on, I guess I'll have to call in advance to see if the golf club charges for a ride along. Buyer beware.
Great golf experience. Wonderfully maintained course, super friendly staff.
First time playing this course. Great fairways. Greens were challenging. Great staff. I just got back from playing at Disney and this course is almost as good for a third of the cost.
Typical target golf course built in a swamp
Seemed like there was either out of bounds, a swamp, woods or houses right behind every green. I tend to blade 2 -3, at least 1, wedge into greens every round. So every approach shot I was terrified so of course I hit more fat wedges than I've hit in my life as thin and long are dead on nearly every hole. It's in decent shape but it's definitely target golf.
Very nice course
The course was in great shape, the greens and fairways were excellent. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Will definitely play there often.
Improving every day and great for the average golfer that wants to pay 25 bucks.
I used to play this course all time as my wife grew up in that neighborhood, and it was a dump for many years, but it was cheap and close to her house. You can tell they have put monies in this course as the conditions have vastly improved. It is not a four star course, but you are not paying 4 star monies. It is rough around the edges in many spots, but the greens are in good shape, and the fairways have enough grass to make it playable. It is a very pretty course even though it winds through houses on the front nine, and I like the layout. But it is short and tight. Play is generally fast if you make the right time. Obviously if you tee off at 9:30 AM on a Sat it will be a little slow, but some afternoons the course is wide open, and very early Sat or Sunday provides fast play. Staff is nice, but some of the golfers that play there do not understand the rules of golf, and do not let faster groups play through, but that is pretty common when you go to affordable courses. The course offers a great option for 25 bucks or less, and is enjoyable. I would not go if you are a low handicapper that likes pristine conditions or a championship course, but other than that, I highly recommend this course as it has a relaxed atmosphere for mediocre golfers. Keep up the good work with the course.
Nice Outing for the Price
This course has improved quite a bit since last we played there. They are working on improvements and we will check in with them again in the future. The greens were fast and dark colored as winter greens in Florida often are. The fairways were okay and the ponds/water areas were trimmed back. OK.
this course is very great
fairway and green are very good shape is not to far at my home and we want to play at Sherwood golf at each week i am a snowbird i speak not good English i stay in cocoa five months a year and i bring my friends play at this course
Decient neighborhood course
Nice neighborhood course. Greens are really nice and maintained. Most fairways are in nice shape. A couple of the fairways had a bare spot or two. Also the fairways are not very wide. Average price for an average course.
even the snack bar people were friendly
Great value. Will return.. Met friendly group to join as I am by myself and new in area
MORE THEN JUST GOLF
I am an average golfer but with hip implants and a bad back and enjoy the ease of from the time spent at the pro shop where they get you your tee time or just the nice way I am treated-while looking around or the speediness when you are in a hurry. Really nice diner and pleasant place for before your round or after when you have the round of your celebrated.
The course itself is good for a low handicap or to a Sunday duffer like myself. The play is the 3 1/2 to 4 hours so my friends can include me into the foursomes.
After checking in and getting the starter releases my friend go's to get the cart and he meets me by the car for the clubs. This really makes it super for me because when the round is finished we drive the cart to the car to unload the gear and then he returns the cart and he is brought back to the cart.
I forgot to mention that this not for me alone but for all players. Carts are allowed in the parking area. BIG PLUS
This course challenges your talent.
It is a challenging course. Have to hit it straight. Very narrow fairways. But a very nice layout and getting in better shape,
A great setting

Great layout, needs some maintenance
Overall great site with several challenging holes. The greens are in good shape. The fairways and roughs can use some TLC. The edges along water hazards could be better maintained. On this visit there were several holes where the cups were not properly trimmed, sand traps had rough edges and some grass growing in them. Water hazards were covered with growth and pollen. Quite a few areas where grass had died leaving dirt "hot spots". In spite of the above I would recommend the course. I'm sure they will be grooming the course to correct these issues as fall approaches.
Always great!
We have played there many times before and will play there many times again!
It's a bit of a drive, but well worth the trip. Everybody that works there is friendly. Course is always in great shape.
Course has nice layout
Course is nicely laid out, I like that about it, But the course does need some maintenance work. It has improved a little from the first time we played it a year ago, but still needs more improvement.
GREAT COME BACK
YEARS AGO THIS COURSE WAS LIKE A COW PASTURE. NOW IT IS IN EXELLENT SHAPE.
