Sherwood Golf Club
About
Sherwood Golf Club in Titusville originally opened in 1965 as a nine-hole course. Over the years it has changed ownership and undergone major renovations including the expansion into an 18-hole course. The new 18-hole layout measures 6,274 yards from the back tees. The player-friendly design features forgiving fairways and inviting greens. It's not a terribly formidable golf course but as one of the most affordable rounds in the area, Sherwood is popular among players of all skill levels. There are bunkers strategically placed along the greensides and fairways and water also comes into play on a few holes. One of Sherwood Golf Club's most memorable holes his the par-3 11th. This intimidating hole features a semi-island green that has been known to swallow a ball or two.

Bad fairways
Everything was great except the fairways. There were a lot of dead spots (presumably where they sprayed for some invasive weed) and it was very dry. The worst these fairways have looked in a while.
Other than the fairways, great course, great staff, great value. I will definitely keep playing.
Great Value
I play this course regularly because of the value compared to quality. This is a laidback course that offers quite the challenge and I will play at Sherwood many more times.
Worst course I have ever played
I'm really not even sure where to start. There were two of us teeing off at 10:15. The course was full of twosomes and nobody was there to pair us up and none of the players wanted to pair up. We were two deep on the tee box just about the entire round. The course itself was in horrible condition. The fairways did not have much grass. We were hitting off of hard dirt right in the middle of the fairway. A few of the tee boxes on par 3's were being redone so they moved the tees in front but had no yardage with them. Twice I flew the green from having no idea what club to use. Speaking of greens... they were super hard and patchy. When there weren't patches of grass, we were putting over sand and dirt. This is the first negative review I have ever written on golf now. I'm not sure I can find one redeeming quality about this course.
challenging and well manicured
some holes are very challenging, lots of bunkers and water also and extreme doglegs
Almost enough room for a proper golf course
It seemed like behind every green was either woods, a swamp, out of bounds or houses. I hit at least a couple thin wedges into greens every round and thin and long is dead at almost every green. So of course I hit more fat , short approach shots in one day than I hit in a year there.
Good Value, Small Town Feel
The golf course was pretty easy to play. I played as a single and finished in about 2-1/2 hrs. Shot a 77 which is a little lower than my average. The price I got on golfnow was $15 so the price was good The greens were very good and rolling fast. The fairways and rough were decent and there were signs that they are still working on the golf course to improve it. Good golf course for beginners. Has a nice small town feel to it and the ones I had contact with were all very nice. Would return.
Dogleg Haven
The grass was very thin and ground was hard. Tough to hit off poor lies. Many doglegs and a couple more than 90 degrees. Lost more balls than typical course.
Great Value
Course is being revised and with the exception of a couple of spots in the fairway, its a fun course
Where's the beverage cart?
The course was fine but we had some VERY slow people in front and had to go around them. NO BEVERAGE CART was very disappointing.
Easy to play
Not to Manu dificulties. Grenés extremely fast. Sand traps hard , would need better sand quality.
Resurection
This continues to improve since the new owner took over 4+/- years ago. The new greens have become fast an challenging. The only problem is as Yogi Berra once said: It's gotten so crowded that no one anymore.goes there anymore.
Good course! Good deal for the money.
This is a great course to play if you are looking to save some money. Cart and 18 holes included for the price you wont be able to find elsewhere. The fairways are large and make it easy for anyone to stay in play. Definitely a good course to play any day of the week.
This course is in excellant shape for this time of the year!
Expected to see dormant conditions but was surprised to see greens, fairways and t-boxes all in great shape and GREEN.
The greens were very true and in great shape.
ALL the staff including the cart gal was very friendly and helpful.
We'll be back....for sure!
Happily Supprised
I played this course 5 or 6 years ago, and it was in terrible condition. I found out this year that the new owners had done a great job of bringing it back. THEY DID.
The greens are the best I've played on this winter.
Rain and all I'd come again
Nice course. Back nine tougher than front. Somewhat narrow. I will be back.
Course is a great design
I think this is the best course for value in the area
Course was fun with a couple unique holes.
Course was in decent shape for the time of year. Pace was a little slow but the staff and on site restaraunt was excellent. The 19th hole has a great happy hour.
Good for the Money
Got an online deal paying $100 for 4 players with carts and it was well worth the money. Sherwood is a very good neighborhood course (literally) with some challenging holes. On some holes homes are quite close to the fairway and our crew had more than a couple balls end up in back yards. Nothing special about the clubhouse or food, but nice place to play with friends.
Great golf value
Friendly staff, good course, great condition. Probably the best value in Brevard County.
