La Cita Country Club

Good course for less than $25. Carts nice. Greens ok. Fairways good. Tee boxes a little sparse and lots of weeds. Traps really bad. Like concrete. Just stay out. Staff very nice. Good range. Nice layout and good course for people who don’t drive the ball far, red tees give a pretty good advantage on most holes.

Challenging course with M-F tee gaps that make Spousal Golf more challenging than most.. A classic Country Club environment that all locals and any Snowbirds should add to their rotation.

Tee boxes are finished. Fairway are ok.

Greens rolled true. 3 hour round. I will be back.

first couple of times I played here, did not like it, but as I figured out the unique aspects of it, I now enjoy it....price is good, greens and fairways in fine shape...good carts, which I like to be comfortable...some elevation changes and water to carry...usually break a hundred but have to focus to do it...worth checking out if you are within an hour or so

I always really enjoy playing La Cita, however my last round left me scratching my head. The tee boxes are being reworked and temporary boxes are set up. The temp boxes needs to be maintained, such as mowing. In addition, the staff is working hard picking up and removing debris from hurricane Nicole. The staff did a great job of clearing debris from course but there is still large piles in rough and woods. I am looking fwd on my next round and I am hoping the tee boxes will be ready.

I always have a great time at the course, the staff is friendly and helpful.

i know some people would complain.the tee boxes were being seeded so we had to tee off from infront of them.the course was a bit soggy in places but not anywhere near the greens.to play an interesting lee travino course in mostly great condition (especially the greens)for under $30 is great value.ill be back

The course has a great layout, old school feel. It’s in bad shape and needs time and money which I understand is happening. Won’t play here again for a few months at least !!!

Great staff, great views, few holes where across the road could probably have a better sign. Got be hind a slower group made for longer day. Course was in pretty good shape. Will definitely be back!

This course has some awesome bones. It has a very old school Florida style feel to the course. You can tell back in the day this was the place to be. Unfortunately it’s not that today. It’s not bad for $20-30 but I wouldn’t pay more then that. Greens were really the only decent thing about the course. On the slower side but they run true. Very tight tee shots. Back 9 is a lot nicer then the front. I think hole 15-16 were my favorites if I remember correctly. The back 2 tee boxes aren’t in use anymore so the course only plays 6000 yards not 6600. Tee boxes can definitely use some TLC. I’d try it again in the winter to see if it’s any better. Guy in the pro shop was very friendly. Gave me a nice run down of the course before I played it. Decent amount of blind shots out there. I recommend going on a slow day so you can ride up the fairways to see where you need to put the ball.

I played here a few years ago with my golf buddies. Then we were in love with the layout but conditions were far from acceptable and hadn't returned. In reading reviews decided to try it again as I had said before a great layout. We were very surprised and thankful as they have really started to do things on the course, mainly grass in fairways and on the greens. Not perfect but very playable. Rough is "rough" and watch your ball if it goes in it or you may not find it quickly. Tees need more work but better than before. Greens very nice rolling, some weeds but looks like they are attending to them. Well worth trying again if this was the reason you have stayed away. I'll play here again and soon.

Course is looking good it's improved every visit for a good while I can't wait to try at it again..Great track!

It was cart path only on the day I played due to heavy rains the day/evening before. Many bunkers were filled with water as the course had not dried out yet. Course has lots of doglegs, some elevation changes, and shots over water to add a challenge making it a fun layout. Conditions have been improving over time. Staff has always been friendly and accommodating.
