About
West Orange Country Club is known throughout central Florida as the home of the West Orange Invitational, where the area's best amateur players gather to compete every November. The golf course was opened in 1967 and rebuilt in 2006 with Tifdwarf grass, providing it with some of central Florida's smoothest putting surfaces. The par-71 layout has a traditional design that features narrow, tree-lined fairways and water hazards in the form of several small ponds and a meandering creek. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. The golf course's par 4s are particularly memorable. One example is the par-4 sixth, the presence of West Orange's signature Oak tree makes this dogleg left hole even more intimidating. The golf course finishes with a risk-reward par 4 that emphasizes strategy over strength.

The members have walk-on tee priority and hate the heavy influx of discounted outsiders. Greens and fairways playable but in very poor condition. Rumor has it that creditors could step in at anytime which would be a shame.
This course is a hidden gem
West orange Country Club is a challenging course that will test your distance and your patience. It has tough greens and even tougher bunkers. It has 4 par 5's that are reachable in 2 for long ball hitters but you'll have to work for those Eagles and birdies! Definitely a course you should check out if you're visiting orlando or if you're a local try the membership for a day and you won't be disappointed.
Good course / pace off play very slow
For the money a good course but slow play will mess up your game, very little service.
This course is challenging but fair
Very good challenge from the Blue Tees. Driving the ball straight is a must, wayward shots won't be lost, but trees will force a recovery shot back to the fairway. Excellent conditions - drinking water and ice, clean facilities, friendly staff, good range, putting, and chipping areas. I would highly recommend.
Not worth the money
Greens were inconsistent. Often no grass really present. Burnt. Fairways were also poor. For a semi private course it was awful. I won't play it again for what they charge.
Would come again
Tee boxes, fairways and greens in good condition. Pretty well left to own devices. No starter or rangers but didn't really matter. Would come again. Got a good green fee rate through Golf Now.
Little imagination in course design
Wide flat fairways in OK shape. If you are just out to practice hitting the ball, then this course is OK but there is nothing challenging or interesting about the course design. Pace of play was excellent and decent practice facility.
Challenging greens
I played with a friend visiting. We had difficult conditions with wind and cool temperatures, but the round moved quickly. The course seems easier at first, with fairly wide fairways, but gets more challenging as you approach the greens. Interesting finishes. Will play again.
Not worth the money,
Even for $30 on golf now it's not worth it, greens and fairways and bunkers are in bad shape. It's worth about $15

nice private club feel away from the resort course masses. Old school tree lined (parkland) layout and perfect greens. tblocks and a few spots in fairways a little rough because they dont overseed but all in all a great value!

Conditions were good. Greens were very fair. I am sure later in the season the rough gets a little thicker. Nice staff. Good value.

One of the best courses in the area. Greens are one of the best i have play and i mean multiple times. The pase of play always fast. Overall one of the best in the area
Friendly and Enjoyable course.
Course easy to reach from Kissimmee where we were staying.
On arrival check-in with pro was both friendly and informative, with our tee time being brought forward as we were ready to play. Played as a two ball. Purchase of a course planner in advance is a big benefit in determining shot positioning.
We will certainly return at some time in the future.

Enjoyed the course. Was in very good condition, especially considering heavy rains the previous day.
Small greens nice design
It's a well designed course and pace of play was great even after having a back up on the first tee if the fairways, greens and tee boxes were a little better maintained this course would be 4.5 or even 5 stars easy but all in all it's a fun course for Florida

Great course excellent greens, I had a great round here with a hole in one on # 17 , course in great condition for this time of the year
very, very nice
course is in good shape for Feb, greens are still a bit brown but roll smooth. Greens are mounded with swales around the edges, very tricky.

Disappointed
The reviews I read before booking this course were very favorable but I was disappointed in the course. The staff was great but the course was very uninteresting..most holes just up and back, up and back. Also, the course condition left a lot to be desired.
