Nice Course/ Ranger Not Nice
I felt as If the Ranger was a bit rude and aggressive. Especially for an older fella. I didn't feel welcome
The course was very crowded but the marshall really worked to keep everybody moving along.It was unique short course I hadn’t played before and I would go back.
Great Value
If you’re looking for a short challenging course this is it. It took us 3 hours and 25 minutes to which was a nice pace to play. No one was rushing anyone. I would play here again.
This course is Nice
The greens were good (a few spots bad but it looks like they are working on those ) overall the fairways are good and sand traps are in great shape (even though I did not use them) the other players did

No reason for cart path only
Course had announced cart path only until 10am. Our tee time was after 11:30. On check-in we were told management had reversed their position of lifting cart path only at 10am and kept it in place for the remainder of the day. There was one area we encountered on the 9th hole where there was a puddle of water in a spot that was 2x6 and maybe 2 inches deep. I agree with Southport Springs policy of 90 degree rule at all times. The excellent conditions of the course reflect the 90 degree rule. The decision to have cart path only all day was overkill.
Really great course, only complaint was the threesome playing in front of us, was playing out of two bags. Slowed our threesome down quite a bit, but not enough to keep us from coming back. Great staff and a great and challenging course.
Clean and green
The course was a shorter course which is what I wanted to play. It was in good shape for winter. Green and very clean. Cart paths were well maintained.
Good iron course
Lay out and conditions great for practicing with your irons. Pace of play good. Would go again.
Course Management Required to Score Well
Absolutely a wonderful place to play golf. A seniors paradise. Resident members are delightful and friendly as well as the staff. Looking forward to when they open membership to non-residents - will be joining immediately.

I am a beginner, been golfing 2 years now. This course is well kept, a great course to work on all your clubs and course management. Staff made me feel welcome from day 1. One of my favorite courses hands down.
Rude staff, called the pro shop ahead of one to mention I was running behind as it’s a 1 lane road to get there, stuck behind a large truck driving slow. I told the guy in the pro shop, think Richard. Just to be told “you need to hurry up” as if my safety is less important than arriving on time. Everyone has to wait anyway as the course was backed up. The starter was nude but the pro shop guy, very rude
